It’s a good phone. I own both and the flip 5 is the winner for me but to each their own
You can expand the outer screen faster by holding the gestures pill for a second, much more convenient that going to the app manager and pressing "full screen" button.

I was planning on getting the Motorola razor 40 ultra after Christmas would you recommend it cause I was a bit scared about the screen breaking and cracking because it is a flip phone.

Razr 40 ultra is now easier to differentiate to the new Razr 50 ultra. Than the two Razr + versions now on the market.
The razr 40 Ultra has a "tent mode" which is similar to AOD. Flip the phone around 35 degrees and the tent mode/AOD will turn on.
Flip 5 all the way. Samsung build better quality phones. Better durability & longer software updates & better support.
To me its the higher screen brightness on the razr+, 2nd only to camera thats huge for me especially the external one

Too narrow, too Samsung for me. Still prefer my Razr 22 , for now :)
Yeah, it's not ideal, but you do get used to it eventually. The 22 model should be great for a while longer!
I wish Moto would offer a wider screen variant like the 22 model. Many apps only allow portrait mode. Wider is better!
That it didn't have video ot dex out over usbc is the main killer, seems silly to me as cheaper edge phones have it. Not having wired Ready 4 desktop mode kills it

@@DavisFangTech Screen is marginally larger than that of the Z Flip 5. So no real advantage. Older chipset, less support, horrible trade deals. While it is a nice phone. It's subjective to the user whether they prefer one or the other.
@@carlbrenda6518 only US has good trade-ins for flip 5. In other countries they are quite rubbish, for example I got much better deal with my razr 40 ultra.
Don't forget that razr has mostly better price, should last longer, cameras are decent, has dust resistance, much better external screen experience and if it will be just as much as durable as my razr 2022 it should last much longer than Samsung.

Samsung has merged the note and s series for some years now. So the s23 ultra is actually a note
@gojo4808 sorry that's not news to me and there is no SD card slot in it so i dont want it and its not a merger at all thats marketing bs for dropping the Note brand name and nothing else. I'm saying I'm a power user but I love the compact design of the flip because it is fun!

i got the razor plus for 400 today someone sold it to me they wanted 24 ultra brand new only had it for 2 months got it at a great deal please someone tell me it was worth it i am nervous about flip phones

better in practically every way, but the camera is probably relatively equivalent. The hinge also isn't as 'stiff', but is superior otherwise

What happens on smaller screen when you're taking a photo with phone open (while the bigger screen is facing you)?
Is whatever you're taking a picture of visible on it?

I have a Samsung Flip 3 before so when you are taking picture with phone open, you can tap on a feature that allow the smaller screen to project what you are capturing like a mirror.
You have three options, you can mirror your viewfinder, so your subject can see the photo that’s being taken, you can have a smiley face cartoon that tells your subject when to smile, or you can leave it blank!
