best explanation to me.... once i thought this poem to be monotonous ... but now when i heard ur explanation... i found the Very essence of it... no words will be enough to praise ur narrative style mam... thanks a lot...... ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
It is the most celebrated poem written keats, it's signify that if we achieve a target in our life we then we need to set another target to achieve as the last two line suggest. Birds are migrating because they have done what they desire here but now they are moving toward another target to achieve. This ode teach us that life is full of action.
Every aspect has been touched thoroughly. Thank you for your exploration. Felt like we're venturing into autumn fields beholding environs around and absorbing the beauty of it.
I have never read or listen this poetry's explanation in this way... A hearty thanks to you ma'am ... It will come in handy when I give my viva on this topic ❤
After going through Ode to the Nightingale i became super hungry,so gobbled up Ode on a Grecian Urn , Ode to Autumn one after another!! 😊 Can't ask for anything more than these super beautiful analysis. Thank you so so much ma'am!
I have adhd so it's very difficult for me to stay focused but during your lectures, I stay hooked (despite the distracting notifications & so on). thank you so much for doing this. love & best wishes.
Now that's an interesting interpretation! I had always associated "clammy" with the beeswax itself, as it usually is a diagnostic criteria of how a sick person's skin feels in my dialect of English, and is generally an unpleasant word. I was so surprised I looked up the word just to be sure it also meant "sticky." Combined with the idiom "to the core," which in my dialect is usually part of "rotten to the core" and never used positively, as far as I remember, it seems to invoke a sense that autumn is a plague of prosperity, where everything is in a state of hyperabundance and will soon be so much spoilage.
Hello, Ma'am! An ardent follower of you here! Cannot thank you enough for these videos. Needless to say, you make understanding the pieces so much easier. Not sure whether you'll be reading this, but it would be really helpful if you kindly make an explanatory video on Thomas Gray's Elegy Written in A Country Churchyard. Thank you!
Mam you have almost covered romantic poems which are in the university syllabus probably.. For that many many thanks to you.. I have a humble🙏 request to make video on Daniel defoe's Robinson Crusoe and pride and prejudice...

I loved the explanation but honestly speaking I searched for it during exam time when do not have time to watch such a lenthy video .....I would have appreciated if you could have provided a summary kind of something for every stanza , I mean short and necessary explanation But I am seriously not criticising as the video was awesome and would have taken a lot of effort .......Thank you so much Mam !!❤❤❤❤❤❤
If I made a summary video, would anyone see the longer one? May be I want people to spend a bit more time on texts. But yes, I will keep your suggestion in mind too. Stay connected.

I never never liked poetry or understood it before. But now it's a total turn around for me. The best explanation and way of teaching. Thank you Ma'am
It's pretty obvious to like those things which you understand, also mam's way of explanation is quite good.
Mellow - starting of autmn
Harvest time
Northern hemisphere
The sun takes maturing turn
Day and night are equal
Autmn is not presented as decaying season - he equates his sadness with autmn
He is talking about fruitfulness
Nature make more beautiful
The trees almost bend by the weight of the apples eventually the apples will fall down
Nuts are filled completely all about maturity and fruitfulness
Further vegetation
A point of promise nd fulfilment
They means bees (they feel it’s summer that winter will never come) bees are getting confused
Bees are acting like a human
Abundance is ignorant of implementing decay
Keats is giving humane side of bees
Autmn might show of abundance but not continuity
Second stanza
Season as person
Sun and autmn is personified here
Laziness of the images
Ironically he didn’t have much time he’s gonna die soon
Autmn reaps the benefit of the year
Autmn is associated with season of harvest (new rice)
Figure of autmn is created by keats
Ritual of harvesting (sep oct nov)
Cross cultural rituals
Autmn is represented as figure of abundance
Mysterious air of autmn
Gradually going to inactivity/inaction
A beginning of rotting process/element of decay - cyder
Usually we celebrate action - here we donot see
Any further change means decay
Topmost point of ripeness
Laziness is a defence mechanism
Stanza -1- abundance
Stanza-2- decay
Stanza 3
Keats is saying every seas has a purpose
Where r the sounds
Sensation
He can sense diff kind of music
He’s talking about nature
Small gnats- small insects they r flying in the wind the sound rises nd falls
Extension of winnowing wind chirping is going up nd down
Lambs r mature now nd they r giving birth motherhood celebrating the cycle of life
Grasshopper sounds
Unusual sounds
Treble sounds w high pitch (treble soft - red breast (winter bird)
Arriving of winter
Keats know that he can’t freeze autmn
Swallow (bird)- gathering in the skies bcoz they r on their great migration
Image of desertion leaving away
Giving up
Greatest of purpose
Seas knows how to let go
Abundance of nature that must go away but will come back
We love John Keats. He is immortalized in his odes. 🎉❤🎉
