- Keillí agus cór chúrsa C le leagan cumhachtach d'amhrán frithchogadh Dolores O'Riordan & Cranberries. 'Sí Jenny Ní Ruiséil a scríobh na liricí Gaeilge.
Cinn crochta (go)(h)ísle,
allta Leanbh caillte céasta
Is go fíochmhar, (i)’dtost na hoíche
A chiúnagh óg ‘s aosta
Ach a chroí, ní mo bhrí
Ní mo chlann, nó cuimhní
‘Tá ag troid, nó ag crith,
Iad in aighneas
Leis na tancanna lán,
Lán is dallta, le gráin
I do cheann, smaointe ann,
Bíonn siad scantraithe
I do cheann, i do cheann,
Zombaí, Zombaí, Zombaí
Céard ‘tá 'do cheann, i do cheann
Zombaí, Zombaí, Zombaí
Croí máithre sáite báite,
Cráite leis an mbuairt seo
Nuair is fíochmha(i)r(e) tost ná aoibh
Is éasca ‘n phian a thabhairt leat
Mar an ‘gcéanna, ón bhliain
A chailleadh, réabhlóidí
‘Siad ag troid, iad ag crith
Iad ag fulaingt
Lena gcroíthe comh lán
Iad comh lán, lena bhfonn
I do cheann i do cheann
Fós in aighneas
I do cheann, i do cheann,
Zombaí, Zombaí, Zombaí
Céard ‘tá 'do cheann, i do cheann
Zombaí, Zombaí, Zombaí
Many choirs that cover this, seem far to happy considering the meaning of the song.
This is a more fitting adaption than so many others. Well done 👍
So fitting a tribute, Dolores was fluent in the Irish language
What a fitting song to reprise. Haunting yet powerful. Rest In Peace, Delores.
I found a preview of this on TikTok and had to come find the entire performance. Absolute chills. This is haunting, powerful, spiritual, and beautiful. I can hear Dolores in your voice. I can't wait to hear more of your music.
Same!!!❤❤❤
Same, my friend Jenna sent me it..
Ok you made me cry. My family is from Derry and this song has always had a deep emotional pull for me. Hearing it as Gaeilge is indescribably profound.
This young lady is amazing. Not only did she tackle a song from a star like Delores O'Riordan but the song itself addresses The Troubles. Fantastic
this song is about the irish troubles, hurts me even more that they have to use it again for another war. Hope their comes peace in the world🇺🇦🇮🇪
Fuaimeann sé go han-mhaith, tá tú i ndáiríre cool! Dia duit ón Úcráin, tuigimid conas atá sé tábhachtach a popularize ár dteanga féin ar ár dtír, a Impireacht iarracht uair amháin a bhaint de. 💕
I am not sure of translation, so I add English to be clear:
It sounds very well, you are really cool! Hi from Ukraine, we understand how it's important to popularize our own language of our country, which empire once tried to take away. 💕
Great effort with the language! Maith sibh!

Go raibh maith agat!
My Hubby Shamus O'Donnell approve this Video!
I have wanted to hear this tune as Gaeilge since I started learning Irish last January and now you all have done it! Maith thú agus go raibh maith agaibh. I am glad to add this to part of my journey learning Irish as other songs you have done as a program have inspired me to learn in some small but not insignificant way. Just so you know how far your efforts have reached, is as Ceanada mé 😃
I am German, I don't understand one word but it sounds so beautiful. Lived in Ireland for barley a year and I love the Gaelic language 💪
We are practicing this song for the mayor in school ❤
Awesome voice, young lady. Great job Little-ones. From across the pond in America.
We are learning this song in school, and this is actually lovely and.. sad.
This is a powerfull video. Matches the importance of the song.
Yike! The orchestral setting makes this better than the original!
Chills! 🤩😍
an t-amhrán seo go hálainn ❤
Go raibh maith agat. Tá sé deacair focail a chur air an scrios agus an fhulaingt, ach éiríonn leis an amhrán seo an dá rud a dhéanamh.
Tá sé iontach cumhachtach
I got chills. The girl at 1:06 seriously made me want to cry, everybody looks so passionate about what they’re singing
That was arrears I meant to say that was fantastic in Irish
deffinatly one of my fave songs of all time ! even better in Gallic !!!
It’s as Gaeilge not Gallic.
Truly amazing version of this song. Original artist should be proud of You All. Well done. 👏👏
Dolores O’Riordan
Oh this is magnificent! Go raibh maith agaibh!
So glad to have you guys back ! Beautiful. I need to learn Irish.
Does anyone know anymore information about Keillí (Ní Chollatáin)? I absolutely love her voice, but I know absolutely nothing about her.
Go raibh maith agat as aon chabhair is féidir leat a thabhairt.
Is brea liom Keillí freisin!

You guys should post all your lyrics as Gaeilge!! Go raibh maith agat!!
The lyrics as Gaeilge are right there above.
I would LOVE That.. it helps me learn, and i desperately want to learn.
@@celticrealms7413 the lyrics are also in the description

Thank you so very much. Thank you Keillí and the chorus from chúrsa C.
Thank you Jenny Ní Ruiséil for the modified lyrics (she is a jewel).
Thank you for paying respects to Dolores with the projected images.
This is so very well done, all of it.
Oled oleeeeh ole
Brilliant
Goosebumps 🙏❤️

Excellent song and video. But the lyrics in the description don’t match what’s being sung.
Really well done. I understand the lyrics presented arent what's sung for the most part due to literal translations, but it would be nice to have the sung lyrics also for those who are learning and want to sing along, even if it may not make perfect grammatical sense due to it must be conveyed for song. Irish is very hard to translate literally.
Here's a better version sung properly with the lyrics.

Leagan cumhachtach Keely agus gach duine a d'oibrigh air! Fíorjab go deo!
Rinne sibh obair an-álainn! Thug sé deora do mo shúile agus crith do mo dhrom. Is breá liom an t-amhrán seo! Bhí an fheidmhíocht an-láidir agus cumhachtach! Aontaím leis na tuairimí faoin meon a chuireann an cór in iúl.
its awesome how many songs they have done now
zombie is in the top 2 easy along with avicii
Great cover of a great song, and what creative use of video footage from both the original video and the more recent past. Impressive as always.
Chills!! Ceann dochreidte arís eile, chomh cumhachtach, chomh bródúil 🇮🇪 💙💛
Go raibh maith agat ón Úcráin
I love this song
Слава Україні. Ми переможемо.
Дякую усім, хто допомагає нам.
In case this song has lost any of it's heartbreak for anyone, here it is to remind us.
iontach ar fad
❤
Dit is waanzinnig goed 😌
Let’s not forget this was a dark song for the Cranberries in response to a dark time during the Troubles. RIP Tim Parry and Johnathan Ball nil ach 12 agus 3 bliain.
Well done. Lyrics in the description are not related though!
My teacher is doing this for palestine, classic move by my teacher
Iarracht chumhachtach - an-jab go deo!
Capetele atârnă (până la) jos,
Celalat copil pierdut in tortură
Cu înverșunare, am făcut in tăcerea nopții
Un tânăr și un bătrân liniștit
Dar inima mea, nu sensul meu
Nu familia mea, sau amintirile
Luptă sau tremurând,
Sunt în litigiu
Cu rezervoarele pline,
Plin și orb, cu ură
În capul tău sunt gânduri,
Ei sunt speriati
în capul tău, în capul tău,
Zombi, zombi, zombi
Care este capul tău, în capul tău
Zombi, zombi, zombi
Inima unei mame înecate,
Chinuit de acest gând
Când ești supărat, taci și zâmbește
Este ușor să iei durerea cu tine
La fel, din anul
De pierdut, revoluții
- Se luptă, tremură
Ei suferă
Cu inimile lor atât de pline
Sint atât de plini, cu pasiunea lor
În capul tău în capul tău
Încă în dispută
în capul tău, în capul tău,
Zombi, zombi, zombi
Care este capul tău, în capul tău
Zombi, zombi, zombi
An mhaith ar fad. Go iontach.

☘ Lá Fhéile Pádraig inniu daoibh go léir ☘
Chills!!!
Is anyone else bothered by the fact that the listed lyrics don't match up with what they're actually singing in some parts?
Examples?
@@catserver8577 I would like to preface this with I am in no way fluent in the language, but I know enough of how words are pronounced to read along with someone speaking in a slow cadence. "'Tá ag troid, nó ag crith, Iad in aighneas", I don't hear these words. I hear "I do cheann, I do cheann" and I can't make out the last line, but it doesn't sound like it matches up. in the next stanza, where the lyrics say "smaointe ann", I once again hear I do cheann instead. Then for the rest of the song, aside from the chorus, the only lines that seem to match up are "... sáite báite, cráite leis an mbuairt seo". I know translating popular songs into another language but keeping cadence is tricky, especially when trying to write down the lyrics, and given that I'm still learning, I very well could be mishearing that which I say doesn't seem to line up. But this could all just be because I'm still learning, and someone with better Irish than I may be able to vouch that the lyrics do match, but once the first chorus ends, I find it near impossible to match most of what they're singing to what is actually written down as lyrics
@@KnightessTTV I have intermediate Irish (Gaeilge). Powerfully, the line you missed after "i do cheann, i do cheann" is "siad ag tosaigh" -- they are starting. In the original song in English that line translated to "they're still fighting" (referring to the war(s) for Irish independence) or "they are dying". "They are starting" feels like a powerful direct reference to what's happening now in Ukraine, especially when you put that whole stanza together, which would translate (as sung) "But dear (heart), it's not my strength, it's not my children/family, nor memory, in your head in your head, they are starting."
@@caeragramore7742 Well that clears up one mismatched lyric section. Thank you! :)
@@KnightessTTV Tá fáilte romhat. :)
I've just listened to it for about my 3rd time through. In general it looks and sounds like they had an original written translation that mirrors some original lyrics but took more artistic license with fitting more words about the current situation in Ukraine to the tune of Zombie. Then in singing it they decided to keep it closer to the original song, for example mostly repeating the bridge into the 2nd chorus with slight variation from the first one (which the original song also does) instead of doing a whole different bridge on the 2nd verse.
I'm still slowly working more on what changed, and guessing as to why. I know TG Lurgan has a lot of fans (like me) who are still learning the language, so I understand it can be frustrating to see one set of lyrics and hear something else.
It's very beautiful and powerful either way though.
Is amhrán seo nár cheart an bhrí a athrú.
♥️♥️♥️
We'll done 👍
Powerful
We are learning this song in school
Leagan ar fheabhas... TGL Abú!
Translated lyrics almost NEVER meet the original lyrics. Ricky Martin's rarely did. Neither did Jon Secada. The German version of 99 Luftballoons worked musically way better than the English version. Misaligned lyrics is not a fair critique. This had me in tears. Aptly timed and executed. And the stoic choir lit by the videos from the Troubles, Ukraine, and Cranberries was creepy and brilliant.
The english version of 99 Luftballons tells a different story than the german version.
Metallica - Enter Sandman as gaelige le do thoil? 😁
I actually started working on that myself years ago. Parts of the chorus actually scan in simple direct transliteration. :D
That would be amazing!
YEEAAAAAH. anois beadh job deas sin!!

I'm both irish, and ukrainian ans dislike how u had made it about Ukraine in the background the irish troubles which the song was actually about is different than ukraine

Guys can you please post the proper lyrics for all the songs? This is really good for learning Irish but most songs don’t have the lyrics and the ones that do don’t match up with the song. Go raibh maith agat 🥰
This translation is not accurate... like at all? Like it's very bad. the song is great.
It’s to make it rhyme, (Tá na liricí éagsúla, chun é a dhéanamh rann)
youn's are protesting the wrong "bully"
Great song, too bad they draped it on the rotten tree that is the US/Ukrainian war for territorial expansion. Україна зазнає поразки
Disappointing to see witness such beautiful singing in such a beautiful language in favour of either side in the war
Ukraine was invaded
@@Skyebright1 it's not as simple as that but it doesn't matter anyway, what happened to Irish neutrality?
@@adamperry835 they were neutral in the world wars because they didn't want to fight for the British, and it is as simple as Putin being a monster
