Great video! Love that you didn't show every single second of every fight and all the stuff between. You got the bob drops (you could definitely zoom in more on those!) and hook sets plus some good stuff and explanation of what you're doing. Well done! I could watch this type of steelhead action all the time!
Thank you for this. It means a lot to me. I try to add different views and keep it interesting. There’s a lot of negative critics so I appreciate your comment. Thanks again!!
@@PAWildlife absolutely! I’ve been working my butt off to grow my channel and gain new viewers for a few years now. Always going to be critics and keyboard geniuses. All we can do is ignore the negativity and keep doing our thing! Keep up the great stuff!
I found a spot on an elk creek map that says there’s a parking lot but it looks like no more than a ditch on the side of the road. I guess I’ll check it out next time I’m in Erie
Love the video bro I take my dog steel heading since he was a pup curious why do you guys rip off those egg sack nets and just throw them on the ground? I see them all over the banks in Erie what exactly are they made of? It seems like it should be a littering fine you bring them in a jar why not have a separate jar for the trashed ones?
That’s a good point. Never really thought about it all these years. Thank you for bringing that to my attention. Especially because I pick up bottles and other trash along the banks to keep the area clean and kept from being posted. I will be more aware when changing them out. I appreciate the comment and time.
For a guy who seems to be enjoying a great day steelhead fishing you surely treat those beautiful fish with absolutely no respect. You drag them on on that shale as if they were the most worthless fish in the world. Shame on you.
wow i was horrified by your disregard for those beautiful steelhead, while I applaud your practice of catch and release ,removing fish slime by dragging the fish across the shale river bed was unconscionable .Please practice more sustainable fishing ethics so that maybe one day your kids kids can have the opportunity to have a day like you did
Thank goodness for people that still go fishing❤
Great catch! Hopefully I can get out.
I’ve been trying to fish that part of elk but where do you even park??

Thank you sir. Very true. Also negative comments increase watch hours and activity. Sometimes it’s just discouraging. Keep at it! God Bless.
Nice vid
enjoyed
i wish i was there with my g loomis steelhead rod and reel spooled with 8# test.
thank you. I'm in Oregon. Where is this? What reel and what rod? nice.
We are in Pennsylvania. The rod and reel combo is the wild series from Shakespere. Its a nice setup for $74
Is this spot private? I don’t see any access points on google maps near
It is not on private. This particular spot is about a 3/4 mile walk from available parking.

Even if they wash downstream with an egg or two in them and another steelhead eats it seems like it would mess with their digestion eating those nets

Agree with you man...they are nylon and not gonna just go away. It drives me nuts.
