The way Rafa threw his friend under the bus in 2021 and 2022, when he refused to speak up for his friend at the players council or defend Novak's right to choose what goes into his body, is disgraceful. He can never be the GOAT even if Novak never wins another grand slam.
He also literally committed a federal crime and thought he was above the law. I’m Australian and we had to live in complete lockdown for two years and experienced extremely limited and harsh border controls not only overseas but within our own borders. Not complaining because we also had extremely low numbers of deaths related to covid but everyone has to play by the rules, it was ridiculous anyone thought he should get special treatment

It was in 2007 one match at Wimbledon where Novak had an injury He won first and lost second set it was 1:1 in sets and in third set He retired due to injury. And Djokovic beat Nadal at Wimbledon twice 2011 and 2018.

There are telltales everywhere in Nadal's comportment. I never doubted for one minute that Novak was not only the best player but that he was the better man.

For me Novak became the GOAT long time ago and for me there is no debate. That been said it seems to me that people are forgeting and underestimate new forces in tennis like Alcaraz, Sinner, Medvedev, Berettini etc. I think they would be a bigger challenge for Novak in 2023 much more than Nadal.

I said this in my videos before, easy to dismiss Nadal as the GOAT. Why ? Because 2/3 of his GS wins come from the FO ! Only 2 Wimbys and 2 Aussies, he way too specialised, the GOAT must show excellence on all GSs not just the French ! And just like I said 7 months ago, Djoko is GOAT and this and next year He is just making His numbers grow bigger and confirming His GOAT status regardless you like Him or not...
This reminds me of the lack of support from the WTA AND the players to not support Monica Seles, ironically Novak’s former countrywoman, after she was stabbed and then Nazi graf immediately regained the #1 ranking even though Monica had won 7 of the 9 previous slams and had reached the finals of the previous 33 of 34 tournaments. Definitely some bias against players from non-traditional tennis countries.

Nole is the goat, but there’s no need for anyone to disrespect Rafa. Rafa won’t go down as the greatest tennis player of all time, but he will go down as the greatest clay court player of all time, just how Roger will go down as the greatest grass court player of all time. The big 3 all pushed each other to new heights, so for fans of all, just be thankful that we had the 3 greatest players all in the same era, as we won’t ever see anything quite like it again.
I can say one of my favorite grass moments was when Roger chocked at 40-15 vs. Novak with double-championship points on his serve at his 'supposed' best court of Wimbledon. His eventual, and I think inevitable (just like 2011 US Open semi vs. Novak), defeat really was amazing!
@@mambi74 I mean, Roger still had more winners in that match overall, he just lost due to his own errors in the end, and not because Nole was hitting winners per se. But that was always a common theme though. Roger has never been as mentally strong as Nole or Rafa, he only ever had the amazing tennis ability, but still, Roger was almost 38 in that match, so Nole should have won it in 4 really, so the fact it went the distance in 5 just goes to show how well Roger played, but Nole clutched up and played better when it mattered though. Still, regardless of Nole leading the h2h at Wimbledon against Roger, Roger is still the greatest grass court player all time unless Nole wins 2 more Wimbledons.
Actually, Federer is just one tittle away in Wimbledon from Novak.. so we will see if he will remain as the greatest grass player of all time.. and out of Novak's 7 titles, 4 were won against Federer

Roger has won 11 grass court titles, and 8 Wimby’s giving him a total of 19 grass court titles, while Nole has won 8 grass court titles and 7 Wimby’s, giving him a total of 15 grass court titles. So Nole will need to beat every single record that Roger set on grass to be the greatest grass court player ever. Not just equal his Wimby record, but first Nole needs to win 2 more Wimby’s, as if he draws level on 8 then Roger will still be the greatest on grass as he has won more other grass court titles as I said. Not many more, but enough to still have the claim to being the greatest grass court player ever unless Nole wins 9 Wimby’s. But we also have to keep in mind as well that Roger has a higher winning percentage and winning streak on grass as well, but Nole could still beat it.
So let’s just wait and see, but if Nole gets 9 Wimby’s and only wins 1 other grass court title then yes, Nole will be the greatest grass court player ever as Wimby is a slam with much more merit, and is of course the hardest to win on grass, and just one of the hardest slams in general tbh, but Nole isn’t there yet though, so let’s see what happens.

Federer is the goat in Tennis and no matter of the titles in the end. There is much more than that, like the aura, the guy himself in and out of tennis, Djokovic is better in tennis than Federer but the lack of behavior and his aura isn’t as good as the gentleman Federer.

I always think it's Federer because Nadal is mainly only great on clay but Federer winning slowed down when Nadal came along and then almost completely stopped when Novak turned on God mode in 2011 paving his way to eventually become the GOAT. I am still not sure if Nadal is better than him and Federer is the most overrated person in sports history, taking advantage of an extremely weak era (The era in between Sampras / Agassi and Novak / Rafa or if he really is better than Rafa.

Has won at least 5 grand slam titles at 3 different slams and between AO, USO and the Wimbledon has the most balanced grand slam distribution between the three, which once again proves he is quite universal!
The real GOAT debate is between Djokovic and Federer. Haters love to call Djokovic a pusher which is completely false. Djokovic is very good at hitting high precision shots and constructing points which puts him in position to hit winners. He is just as good as Federer on medium and fast surfaces but knows when to play smart in critical moments of the game instead of hitting high risk shots. He also hits way more winners and approaches the net much more than Nadal. A true GOAT is someone who can adapt and dominate on different surfaces which is something that Nadal cannot not do on a consistent level. This is why Nadal is rarely favored outside of RG every year and he is very beatable outside of clay compared to Djokovic and Federer.

Their grand slam count might be lower but they would still win at least 15 Grand Slams each. I honestly don't think that Nadal would hardly win a Grand Slam outside of RG if he played in a different era. Djokovic won 4 Aussie Opens ever when they speed up the courts from medium slow to fast since 2016. He also does very well on the fast and indoor HCs such as Cincy, Shanghai, and the ATP finals. However, I could see him having a lot of trouble facing big hitters and serve and volleyers like Sampras, Becker, and Ivanesevic.
