The struggle is real! This is a great video, thank you! I am also a fan of the “look” as well as the functionality, and I think that just makes it that much harder… I’m on a 22 RG but I’m only 5’5” - I mostly wear a half helmet that has a headset - the buffeting is exhausting … I’ve got 2 windshields I will be trying out this week - I’ll keep u posted

    Windshields are definitely personal preference.
Freedom Shields are worth a look for anyone looking. Great quality and no distortion even at the "curve". Good stuff.
I finally had to go with a clear windshield. Riding at night with a tinted windshield made it feel like I was riding behind a brick wall and just peeking over the top.
Old eyes.. too dark.. ha ha.. I don't ride a lot at night but when I did the dark tinted windshield sucked.

Tinted windshields at night make it very tough to see for sure! Tough process finding the right one for sure

Really appreciate this video. I just purchased a 2021 Road Glide Limited. The struggle in searching for the "right" windshield is real!

I live in Brazil and I have a Street Glide Special. I have problems with turbulence (buffeting) in the helmet. Your video helped me a lot, as it showed different possibilities. Thank you very much.

@@gillettecd A Windshield manufacturer here in Brazil made one with 40 cm (16 inches). Aesthetically, it wasn't pretty, but last month I took a trip to the south of Brazil (Serra do Rio do Rasto in Santa Catarina) and it was wonderful. I drove 2,000 kilometers without any problems. Thanks.

1st off I would like to thank you for not having 5 minute introduction about how fantastic you are and all of your experience and that you know everything about everything. Nothing worse than more than a 45 Seconds lead in. I would also like to compliment you I'm actually having a variety of windshields by different manufacturers that you just slid in and talked about sitting on the bike cause you could see your nose level versus the height of the windshield your explanation with your hand gesture showing where the winds going, I would have to guess that's experience of the wind going over your head or in your face. And a little side joke on "That's what she said".
    Awesome video thank you

First thing I did when I got my 2019 street glide was to get rid of the stock windshield and replaced it with a 8.5 in. klock werks in tinted. This morning I just ordered a 10.5 tinted to get a bit more protection from the wind and rain

Hey nice to see someone making videos with a flhxsanx. I'm from Saskatchewan Canada and have 358/1900. The only other one I've seen was in Paris Texas for the Bring It Home Guinness world record parade put on by Adam Sandoval and Paris Harley. Just curious to see what number yours is. Thanks Eric

Mine is 1326. Good to hear from a fellow 115th SGS owner! I’ve seen at least 40 of these in my travels and it always puts a smile on my face 😎

You must not have been in Sturgis in 2018. I think the rule was you buy a 115th anniversary edition and you have to ride it to South Dakota.
But that's a seriously nice color. Not a fan of the matte paint jobs in general but that blue is really nice in matte.

@@candlstudios oh I was in sturgis in 2018 and 115th Milwaukee celebration including the parade! I follow the rules lol. The not liking denim but liking the legend blue denim I get a lot with this bike it’s funny. 😀

@@candlstudios Ended up not getting that week off work but took a 6000 km trip out West through Alberta and BC right to Vancouver that summer. Then in 19 was in Sturgis for 5 days during the rally and never saw another one not saying there wasn't one there though. Didn't know what I thought of the color either when I first saw it in Calgary Ab at Christmas/New Year of 18 but on way home phoned Yorkton HD which no longer exists and asked when they were getting theirs and pretty much watched them unbox it and the rest is history. Didn't even drive it stock cause I stage 4'd it and added the stage 2 Amps and speakers to fairing and saddle bags among other things right out of the show room while there was still snow on the ground. Thanks for comment on color and now glad I did it

Just crashed my 13 muscle over the weekend... what would you do? Should I fix it? Or sell it as is? Would be about 2000+ for repair.

@@TorqueandPower just gotta stick with my 18 sgs. I'm 5 11 and I have 8.5inch klock werks. about 2 to 3 inch from eye level to top of the shield. Absolutely no wind buffing. Over triple digit speed, hat stays on without any movement. I'm going to stick with 100% helmet after what happend over the weekend, but just to give other people a reference.
