I would 100% respray the bonnet (or hood) silver to match the grille, but leave the rest as it is. The silver compliments the alloys so well, but please don't overdo it! ❤

I know I’ll probably never get to own a Rolls Royce, but I honestly think it looks great. The bonnet, the nose tip, and the wheels all look so nice together, breaking up the car in a unique style. Repainting the center to a two-tone would make it look more like OEM (if this is the way you choose, it should be silver to match the wheels). I’m sure you and Mat will totally nail it in the end. I'm looking forward to following the last steps of the build. Thank you both for making all the great content on UA-cam.

I LOVE RR and I was going to buy a Rolls Royce several years back and the seller actually talked me out of it and the biggest reason was the odd way Rolls Royce does their system especially on the older models. I would love to own one eventually but the maintenance is pretty expensive and there is a lot I can't do without special tools and computers. I considered buying a RR from one of the guys in my Jaguar owners club that had light accident damage but when I tried to source parts it was close to impossible and what I did find were priced outrageously. I guess my biggest issue too is not having a garage I could leave a car and work out of. I only drove one Right Hand drive vehicle and old USPS jeep. It was very different especially when backing it up or parking especially here in Boston.

I understand you’re not technically a backyard mechanic but wouldn’t just filling the radiator and/or reservoir with coolant until it stops bubbling air out and running the car shortly and allowing it to cool and then topping back off the radiator/reservoir with coolant evacuate the air from the cooling system? Seems kinda extra to do it with a compressor. Just curious, genuine question though. By the way, a Cabernet red and maybe silver two tone would look incredible.

I like the silver nose but could be more chrome to go with the other bright-work and the new wheels, just needs a bit more to balance the overall new look, with more chrome in the side skirts, in my opinion.

Using tire air instead of compressor air is actually a good idea... especially if you don't have a compressor. It's only 30-35 lbs and it's consistent. My preference is using vacuum at each caliper.
Back in the 80s my uncle got of a old rolls that had been wrecked he took it was still running but the frame was tweaked .So he made a demo derby car . That dam thing was indistructable . The fans loved it .
Beautiful car...and so many long days & nights for Freddie. You should wrap the hood, roof and rear with a high gloss wood lookalike, that mimics a Riva speedboat. It would be unique and ultra-classy.
I used some compressed air this morning to get my windshield washer squirters to start working again. One of those few little pesky things that didn't work on my car that I fixed for free and the previous owner had to take a hit because of. So far all fixes have been free or heavily discounted other then my time and labor.
Those types of brake systems are actually fairly common. I'm a former Lexus master tech and the LS has had that type of system for years. Now, pretty much all rhe new models do.
