Most people I see doing Betrayal focus on 3 things: - low level Catarina to dilute rewards she drops to farm cinderswallow urn / devouring diadem (keep area under ilvl67 so her other unique cant drop) - Gravicius in transportation gives set of div cards that do not follow usual drop rates. You can get much rarer set of cards. Thats how people get HH/MB in first days even in SSF - XP rewards in safe houses to get to high 90s quickly (combined with harvest XP rewards from atlas) Betrayal has been gutted badly for general play, only worthwhile things left there are Gravicius in Transportation for stack deck, Guff in transportation for craft currency spam (good for crafting jewels and cluster jewels) and maybe Riker in fortification but only in SSF (lets you choose one unique item from pool of many - like Seer but less likely to see T0 or T1). Dont forget when you start Catarina fight all her Captains will give their rewards twice when you win. As for rivals/friends, I think its easier to modify board with rivals than friends.
But for softcore catarina lvl matters as it affects the drop rate of the veiled orb. Granted in necro settlers its not worth much … and also i think you are making a mistake by not creating rivals as it increases the chance for additional members to spawn. So more loot and more intelligence
Haha to be honest I’m 100% sure if you make them rivals more of them spawn because I thought if they are trusted, they bring each other/help each other out in the map compared to if they are rivals they do not show up together in the same instance. In HC SSF I wouldn’t bother trying to get veiled orbs. I would rather farm t16 maps with the pillage and plunder node and unveil items from the members. I have gotten some really great items doing it that way.
@@TheSeekerFromPOE trusted or rival is good in any case. And yeah i get you, veiled orbs are probably not the main goal, but nothing stops you from doing both in t16. With recombs there is a pretty solid use case of veiled orbs as you can easily get 2 t1 suffixes or prefixes then multimod and unveil and hope for something good.
@@Osiris57the trusted or rival situations - exactly, I dont worry about it too much. I also will be trying out the recombinator too which will be a new experience for me. I’ve seen some crazy gear that people have made with minimum effort/costs that is perfect for SSF
@ yeah its pretty easy to get a 4 t1 piece. Just make sure to update your filter to pick up the bases as you will need a lot. And also pay attention the ilvl, some mods require lvl 86. A small tip is that you can smack together two different bases with different ilvls and the higher ilvl might end up on the right base
