In San Francisco a plastic wrapped mattress on the street means bed bugs, not sure about your neck of the woods. Those are paddles, not oars. Oars go in oarlocks generally attached to the boat. You can can have an oar for each hand or like you see in racing boats, each rower has one oar.
Paddles are used solo, in a canoe you switch sides when paddling. I have seen paddles used in a variety of decor and diy I hope you do well with them. Peace

Hi Taco, i think the Paddles would look good criss crossed on a wall as an ornamental feature... Or if your selling them take them all to the Fleamarket and let the people choose either one or two to buy that way they'll be no worries. 😁👍
Those boat paddles are for one person like a canoe.. Rowboats with two oars usually have a bolt hole or something in the middle to attach to the boat to row. Those are nice finds and should sell fast on marketplace. Those appear to be T row boat oars for a canoe . They run $25 at a few sporting good stores for just one. So $10 at flea market should sell easily. Until that certain shopper offers $2.

I sold mine as singles. One had a metal bracket-sold right away for $25. The other had some damage-but a cool logo-sold for $22.
My daughter had that same exact tall Ikea chair. It was very pretty. Can be used as a plant stand. Please don’t scrap it.

Yeah my cherry tomatoes got tall last year and populated, so the stand just crunched under the weight. Youre right about needing strong ones.
