A nice wee video. Cheers the weather forecasts were very confusing. We were in Glen Dessary and got all the predicted conditions from all the different forecasts. Thanks.
Hi Neil, Yes, we couldn't make up or minds on the best location and tops but didn't want to go further west. As it was, it turned out a lot better than expected. I think Autumn has sneaked up on us.... Cheers
Hi Patricia, Thanks you. They are not the most demanding tops but fine for an iffy day or making it a bit more interesting by adding them to the Ben Lawers tops 👍 Cheers
Looks like an awesome walk! Meall a' Choire Leith and Meall Corranaich must have some great views, especially with Loch Tay in the background. Thanks for sharing your hike - definitely makes me want to explore that area! Cheers, Simon - Tales From Abroad
Hi Keiren, Thank you very much... it's terrific that you and others are enthused through our uploads. You've just got to get out there and go for it to enjoy the benefits. Cheers
Nice one Charlie & Mike, glad the weather held for as it’s been all over the place☀️🌧️💨 I remember that crossing being very wet and spongy when I did them. You got lovely views heading from 1st to 2nd munro of the rest of the Lawers Range Charlie.👍 Great editing as always👍 ATB Frank
Hi Frank, Yes, the spongy start is just the same as I remember but fortunately, no bother with wet feet with the heavier boots. A shorter day than normal as we could make up our minds with the mixed forecasts. Still hoping to get back up to the northwest once they stop getting battered with rain and wind. Cheers
Lovely walk. That area never gets old. Weather better than expected but still doesn't look very like August. What a strange summer it's been. Anyway thanks again for sharing. Best wishes, Murdo
Hi Murdo, The summer in the hills has been poor and it looks to be continuing for another few weeks yet. Not much for, just got to get the winter gear out and get on with it 🤣Cheers
Hi gritstoneedge, Glad you enjoyed this one. We were fortunate with the weather as the hill forecasts were all over the place. Probably the right decision with these two as things started to close in once we were down 👍 Cheers
Hi Charlie another great video that's the furthest south i have been as my friend and I did a sponsored walk on ben lawers for motor nueran desies in memory of my brother who died from it a few years ago will have to go back and do that ones as well
Hi Kevin, That is a great cause for a sponsored walk 👏well done. It's a very popular area and always worth a second visit to take in the Perthshire scenery. Cheers
Hi Dave, Yes, quite fortunate with the clear tops and really enjoyed the morning. We hadn't expected some of the winter gear to be worn quite so early but it gives you an idea of the poor mountain summer we have had. Cheers
I was up a few weeks back and stuck that fencepost back into the cairn on Corranaich, and I'm amazed it's still standing in that wind! Overall, it was not a bad day for it, guys!
Hi Mike, You made a good job of the fencepost but the way this weather is going it might not make it through the Autumn 🤣 The day turned out quite nice but things looked to have closed in once we were back at the car so planning a short day was probably the best idea. Cheers
Actually did these two yesterday in the opposite direction. I actually said to my pal during the walk "I wonder if we'll ever bump into Charlie on a walk?". He just missed you a month or so ago. He was on Munduff Hill at the same time you were on Bishop's Hill. Looks like you were luckier with the weather than we were yesterday though. Anything below about 700m was like a swamp, it was blowing a hoolie at the tops, and we couldn't see a thing. All the best and thanks for sharing.
Hi ants, We hadn't expected clear tops so it was a welcome surprise. We're in the Lomonds pretty regularly so we may bump into your pal at some point. Munro car parks are also a good place for meeting others. Take care. Cheers
Hi Brian, The forecasts were all over the place so decided on a straightforward pair that would possibly remain clear 👍 The winter gear is starting to make an appearance with these temperatures and its like Autumn has sneaked up on us. Cheers
Hi Neil, So were we 🤣 but managed to missed the showers that were coming through. The forecast for yesterday was all over the place but great to get them clear. Cheers
Hi Emma, Just checked the WH route and yes, its very similar. Obviously, you have the choose of either direction but we took a more direct route coming off the second top towards the car park
Hi Andrew, Yes, just one of these days when conditions could go either way. That wind had a bite in it that certainly wasn't anything to do with summer 🤣 Cheers

Great video. We only climbed them once, after the Lawers hills. They look better than I remember. I think I must have been tired 😆
Hi Patricia, Thanks you. They are not the most demanding tops but fine for an iffy day or making it a bit more interesting by adding them to the Ben Lawers tops 👍 Cheers

@@charliemccartney7055 yeh I’m hoping still for a few new munros up north, the weather has just been all over the place

Great that the blue sky came out for you. The walk between the two Munros had some great views. Thanks for another great video.

Hi Charlie, Hi Mike. That looked a breezy old mornings adventure, but at least the clouds stayed high for you. 😃
All the best gents.

You did well to avoid the rain 🌧️ and you got views 🏔️ which is quite an achievement lately 😂 another great wee vlog Charlie & Mike 👌 atb Brian 👍

I was half expecting a great downpour. Autumn starts early up with you
Hi Neil, So were we 🤣 but managed to missed the showers that were coming through. The forecast for yesterday was all over the place but great to get them clear. Cheers
Great video , did you follow the WH route
Hi Emma, Just checked the WH route and yes, its very similar. Obviously, you have the choose of either direction but we took a more direct route coming off the second top towards the car park
As we say in Wales that was tidy butty
