i just love the antagonists from each movie were considered as some sort of freaks in their community. Frost was not a pure blood, a wannabe with huge god complex; Nomak was a mutant, rejected son; and Drake was the prototype, the ultimate outcast that disdained the current vampiricism. None of them actually was the typical vampire that Blade decimated on a daily basis. Hence they all respected Blade in some way for that he was a freak himself, the daywalker. I cannot help but think they identified themselves with him to some extent. That's some brilliant screenwriting.
They have covered everything basically. Frost - he despised the system where hierarchy was based on birthright. No matter how much he contributed to the vampire society, no matter how much influential he was, he still had to bow down to purebloods. And he never would attain their hierarchy level. That's why he wanted to destroy this system and becoming a BloodGod was somehow supposed to help him. He respected Blade because Blade did challenge the vampire society and battled it openly alone, meanwhile Frost was fighting it from the shadows. Nomak - Nomak was a mutant vampire and he was rejected because he was basically a walking disease which was exceptionally harmful to both human and vampire society. He respected Blade, because they were the same in terms of being rejected. Blade was rejected by vampire society and would be rejected and hated by human society as well. They both basically had no place in the world. Drake - he did respect Blade because he was a warrior. Drake lived for thousands of years and lived by sword and honor. Blade does the same and that's why Drake respects him and accepts him. Overall, all villians are well written along with their motives which are clean. They appear powerhungry, but as the story goes on, you see that there is more than meets the eye.

The biggest disappointment about this movie is how there are glimpses of Drake actually being a compelling villain, and it’s all squandered on keeping Blade from looking weak, Goyer trying to show off how cool his camerawork is, and the studio trying to set up a Nightstalkers movie. What Ive always found so fascinating about Blade trilogy is that all three villains in the series have some amount of respect for our hero blade.

Reason 2 he was outnumbered and blade was the only one that can keep up with him.

They minimized wesley snipes lines in this movie because he and the director weren't getting along during filming
I don't blame him. David S Goyer should have just stuck to writing the screenplay and let one of the previous directors finish up the trilogy, because the quality of this movie is what happens when you give a big budget to a novice filmmaker.

The biggest disappointment about this movie is how there are glimpses of Drake actually being a compelling villain, and it’s all squandered on keeping Blade from looking weak, Goyer trying to show off how cool his camerawork is, and the studio trying to set up a Nightstalkers movie. Trinity had potential if they would have just focused on making one good film at a time
