Nat King Cole's version of this was my mother's favorite and Natalie's version is my favorite. I will have to watch this when I can, if I watch it now I will come undone 😢 💔 💕
I saw her in concert in 2014. She sang with the Knoxville TN pops. We sat about 8 rows up from center stage. She was beautiful. Her blue eyes made her look so beautiful. It was my life's goal to see her live. Due to my work schedule, in 1992, I missed her Unforgettable concert in Charlotte, NC. I was bummed about it for years. When I saw her sing Unforgettable with her father on the big screen behind her, I was amazed. A few years later, I had tickets to see her at Harrah's casino in Cherokee, NC. And again I missed that concert due to my work. She was my top favorite singer of all times. Whitney being #1. RIP Natlie. You are greatly missed. ❤ #NatalieCole #Unforgettable #LiveConcert #BeautifulVoice #MusicLegend
When I was about 7 years old, I heard Nat King Cole`s Mona Lisa on the radio and fell in love with it. When I was 20years old, I was moved to hear Natalie Cole`s Mona Lisa on CD, and after I turned 40, I was so moved to tears when I heard Natalie singing Mona Lisa in front of me. Watching this video brought me to tears again.
Great duet! He played my Dad’s nightclub in Tampa in the late 1940’s, the Watts’s Sanderson Blue Room & Beer Garden on Central Avenue! What a voice they both had & God blessed us all to hear! Dr . Rhonne Sanderson 0:15

During her BLACK MAGIC "daze" I often had her front two other bands on the same bill. (The Springfield, Mass soul band DYNAMIC DESSERTATIONS and the jazz great DICK ARTHUR TRIO.) Just a month before her graduation they did a gig at DEERFIELD ACADEMY...and to my complete surprise...she wanted to give the trio a break, and do one of her Dad's songs... A CAPELLA ! It was MONA LISA. I remember saying out loud, to myself "Wow...I will remember this moment forever." And. it still is...as if it was yesterday. WOW! MONA LISA !!!! A CAPELLA !!!! Upon graduation, I asked her what she was going to do for the rest of her life?...."I'm gonna be a child psychologist." I said, "WHAT ? No-no-no-no, NO! YOU'RE A SINGER !" "But my mom just spent $20,000 on my education--- I CAN'T DO THAT TO HER !" "No-no-no ! YOU'RE A SINGER !" I'll get you 6 nights a week work for the summer. Decide in September if you still want to be a head doctor ! BUT YOU HAVE TO TALK WITH YOUR MOTHER... Two weeks later...Natalie, Maria, and Myself meet with my Connecticut friend & agent DICK GRASS. She signs, puts a new road band together, works the summer, and in September her mother has her re-sign with Nat's former agency C.M.A. And the rest is HER-STORY.
