@okonks Mkonks Fact check. Without going into detail it was Bishop Muzorewa and Lt Gen Walls who agreed to the ceasefire and subsequent elections. Thatcher facilitated it. Mugabe had to be dragged kicking and screaming by Samora Machel.

Former President Julius Nyerere is historically remembered for his significant role he played in ousting one of Africa's tyrannical leader Idi Amin from power. A movement that gave birth to democracy in Uganda. And finally for adhering to the norm of democracy by relinquishing power when his constitutional tenure in office was over.

“If you are going to equate radicalization with ‘anti-west,’ then you are in trouble.”
We have such a lack of wise people today. People who knew how to get their point across in a way that was nearly indisputable - and if you did dispute it, there was an 80% chance that you’d end up arguing for the *same* point and looking like a fool for not realizing it.
I miss interviews that allowed for such long answers. And I miss politicians that could give them.
