Hawkeye band alum...I was the only Des Moines Roosevelt (and the whole metro conference, actually) school alum in the 1987 band that went to the Kickoff Classic and Holiday bowl. But Des Moines Roosevelt did have at least one member of the Cyclone band that year...Paula B.

I’ve thought about moving to Iowa so many times. It just seems like a nice place to live with good people who really love their state. Maybe after my husband retires from the Army.
@@VictoriaBelanger Iowa City and Des Moines are my two favorites, but you're right. Iowa (except for some southern border towns) is the best mix of liberal thought and conservative common sense in the country
