They both were in the underground rap scene before auditioning for BLOCK B, in which Mino’s best friend since high school PO also was in the final line up along with Mino and Zico. However, Mino’s parents did not like the contract and obviously Mino got into YG and debuted with WINNER. They are all still very close friends until this day! Zico and Mino has done a lot of collaborations. Zico knew Bobby through Mino and of course Bobby won show me the money proving that idol rappers are just as talented and skilled. There is a huge misconception of idol rappers at that time..like they can’t compete with legit hip hop or underground rappers. But as I mentioned jokes on them..Zico, Mino, and TOP as well were very well known in the underground rap scene. But yes…Zico is one seriously talented cool dude and he’s a versatile producer/song writer. He has collab and wrote songs for many different kind of artists from girl groups, osts, hip hop, and etc. He also can be vulnerable too…just like his group BLOCK B..that he’s the leader of and his members are also very talented vocalists and rappers/song writers too. Block B is a very unique, talented, and versatile group.
