Super Bowl LVIII AND Super Bowl XXIII WERE IDENTICAL

- If you watched Super Bowl LVIII between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers and had a feeling of deja vu like you had seen this game before, especially if you were a 49ers fan on the opposite side, that might be because many elements of the game were identical to that of Super Bowl XXIII between the Cincinnati Bengals and San Francisco 49ers. Super Bowl 58 was a near-identical game to Super Bowl 23, with some of the comparisons needing to be seen to be believed. This is a breakdown of that

I did not think the game was " boring until the end" i felt it was just two great defenses playing really well
not really, it was a shit game.
And that, my good sir is why people think defenses are not important and always look at offense as the reason someone wins or loses. Even though the Ravens have emphasized defense above offense for decades.@@tomsnowden6201

Great video but here's one you missed. The losing team, who the winning team defeated for the second time in the Super Bowl, started a different quarterback both times.
This is like the football version of the old "similarities between Presidents Lincoln and Kennedy".
- Both Presidents were shot in the back of the head, on the Friday before a major holiday, while seated beside their wives, neither of whom were physically injured.
- Both were in the presence of another couple, and in each case that man was also wounded by the assassin.
- After both assassinations there were loud and insistent claims that the fatal shot must have come from a different direction.
- Each President in his thirties married a socially prominent twenty-four year old girl who spoke French fluently.
- While in the White House, each President had a family of three children, and both lost a son through death.
- Both Lincoln and Kennedy were second children.
- Both had been boat captains.
- Both were related to a U.S. Senator, Attorney General, ambassador to Great Britain, and the mayor of Boston.
- Each had been elected to Congress in the year '47 and were vice-presidential runners-up in the year '56.
- Each was elected president in '60.
- Before each was elected, a sister died. Both had a friend named Billy Graham and knew an Adlai Stevenson.
- The names Lincoln and Kennedy each contain seven letters.
- Both were succeeded by vice-presidents named Johnson: Andrew born in 1808 and Lyndon in 1908, both of whom had 13 letters in their names and two daughters.
- Both assassins have fifteen letters in their names.
- Booth shot Lincoln in a theatre and fled to a warehouse. Oswald shot Kennedy from a warehouse and fled to a theatre.
- Both assassins were in their turn assassinated by shooters who used a Colt revolver and fired only one, fatal shot.
Lincoln was shot in fords theater
Kennedy was shot in a ford vehicle
-Before the game there was more than forty niners
-After the game there was more than forty whiners
Both died.🤪
History is a script. HIS story
You forgot a week before they both died Lincoln was in Monroe Maryland and Kennedy was with Maryland Monroe
Similar. But what's even stranger is both teams played each other the yr before, both had coaches who worked for the losing teams
They say when Taylor Swift farts a chief's player get a Super Bowl ring, let's go three peat
Damn hopefully some of the players on the 49ers will watch this and sue the NFL for plagiarism of itself lol
Superb content, just superb! It's still uncanny to me how very much your voice and voice inflections sound like the late, great, Dick Shaap, who was the original host of ESPN's "THe Sports Reporters". Another similarity, both Super Bowl's Roman numerals ended with III. Joe Montana and Jerry Rice were both in attendance at last night's game, and were of course present at Super Bowl XXIII.
JG9’s use of “phenomenal” makes me think of Jim Rome.
You know what else is wild: The Bengals lost the superbowl LVI 23-20. The following season the Bengals lost their first game of the season 23-20. And then lost the Conference Championship game 23-20.
Nice job 👍, jg9! Oddly enough the team in both Super Bowl games were the 49ers! 😮😮😮
You forgot the part where 49ers star tight end Brent Jones was dating international pop star Madonna, and at one point during the game got frustrated and shoved head coach Bill Walsh.

Another crazy similarity is both loosing teams lost a key defensive player Tim Krumrie for the Bengals and Dre Greenlaw for the 49ers. Both had freak leg injuries that put them out of the game.
And both injuries happened during the 1st quarter of the game as well.
No O.T. in SB XXIII though.
Hey can i copy your homework? Yeah but don't make it look too similar
That is an important point to take into consideration. Kansas City had the advantage of what amounted to an extra quarter to seal the victory. Regrettably, the Cincinnati Bengals did not have such an advantage. Nonetheless, considering the fact that both Cincinnati and Kansas City were both in the AFL West at one time (Kansas City remains in the AFL West. The AFL North is really the AFL Central sans the Houston Oilers who are now assigned to the AFL South.), what happened last evening is, at least to this Bengals supporter, a bit of payback.
And if there was, the OT rules at the time would have made it very different.
@@McM41795💯‼️

Well, they weren't identical, but you did prove that there are such things as coincidences.
As a Bengals fan, I'm just glad that at least one Super Bowl has gone like this without the Bengals losing (although now I'm kind of wishing you compared this with Super Bowl LVI, even if that one obviously hasn't been cemented as a classic like the others you've mentioned)
Taylor Swift's lucky # is 13 so what's 5+8 equal? This was and will forever be known as the Swift Bowl so there's your difference, and the NFL is predetermined just like WWE and this game is proof of that.

Based on past stats the Cincinnati Bengals will beat the Detroit Lions because:
1. Only 3 teams that coming off back-to-back Super Bowls made it to the conference championship the next year. (76 Steelers, 90 49ers, 94 Cowboys)
2. The Kansas City Chiefs have made the AFC Championship every year with Patrick Mahomes as a starter.
3. Joe Burrow is the only active quarterback to beat Patrick Mahomes in a playoff game.
4. Every team to beat a 2-time champion in the conference championship went on to beat a team that never won a Super Bowl in the Super Bowl. (Raiders over Vikings, Giants over Bills, 49ers over Chargers).
5. Out of the 5 NFC teams that never won the Super Bowl (Cardinals, Falcons, Lions, Panthers, Vikings) the Detroit Lions are the most likely to get there.
So the Cincinnati Bengals will beat the Detroit Lions in Super Bowl 59.

Interesting stats similarities leading up to and in the game, weird how history finds a way to repeat itself in odd ways… also how, if we look hard enough we can generally find something to compare events to. If all those stats are true then that was truly crazy, but again you can do similar comparisons with various events throughout time given enough variables. Thanks for the video was fun and crazy to watch.
Not sure I agree with many (or most really) of your opinions cited in the first couple minutes of the video regarding this season and game.
Say hello to the new Dynasty.....
Of course, it's scripted that way. I don't care for either team, but at least I'm happy the 49ers lost along with their cocky and arrogant fanbase.
As for this Super Bowl LVIII itself, it was the most-watched sports program since the Apollo 11 moon landing from July 20th 1969. As for Super Bowl XLIII, it drew 81.6 million viewers, and Super Bowl LVIII drew 123.4 million viewers since the 1969 moon landing.
In Super Bowl 23 they played a very popular sport known as football.
In an astonishingly eerie similarity, in Super Bowl 58 they also played a very popular sport.
You guessed it.
Football! 🤯🤯🤯
Game was boring as fuck..It honestly felt secondary to all the pageantry though. The camera fixed on taylor swift kinda proves that.
They said it was the seventh-longest. I'm guessing they're talking about the actual number of minutes between the kickoff and the ending of the game, so longer halftime shows could have contributed.
Super Bowl XXIII and Super Bowl LVIII are not the same because the Niners didn't win both games
LVIII felt like LIV or LI
Yep. This was 100% a rerun of SB51, much to my chagrin. Shannahan vs the dynasty team, Shannahan team gets a lead, blows that lead, sends the game to overtime because they couldn't get a kick to go right, then lose the game because of a worn out defense. The dumbest thing is, I knew this was going to happen pretty much as soon as the matchup was made official.
Felt like both of them to a degree. Last year’s felt like LII except the Eagles lost.
This is a great sign it's not scripted, there's now way a script writer would have THAT many weird coincidences in the game
It's called making mistakes.
It wasn't in the script
. So no matter what, you have thr opposite comeback . Again, if scripted, no way the NFL takes that many chances on KC not winning. KC still had to make a solid field Goal just for OT. 49ers could of easily gotten the field goal attempt in OT blocked or he could just missed. 49ers played just a little safe, but sometimes safe works, this time not so.

Back when I was a young man your average Super Bowl was a total blowout by halftime. Nowadays, the Super Bowl always seems to go to the last play of the game and possible OT. Almost as if it’s scripted. I almost expect Rudy or Forrest Gump to trot out to score the winning TD.
Of the last 21 Super Bowls 19 of them have been within one score at some point in the fourth quarter.
Not all. Just a few duds from time to time.

And in both cases the games were really dull for a long time and had a great finish at the end..
I didn't hear anyone call this a terrible season. And I loved the whole SB. Defenses were balling out! Hotly contested from beginning to end.
I hate modern remakes, they should have just wrote a whole new script.
Funny how there were no ties all year, but if the Super Bowl was a regular season game it would have ended in a tie.
