14:14 Actually, Kuina died from falling down the stairs in the animanga. It's a very underwhelming death, but that's its purpose; it showed Zoro how fragile humans are, and how death can come at any time. However, the author of the manga revealed in an interview that Zoro's father (who we never see) was killed by pirates, so you may not be wrong! Great reaction, by the way!
Oh wow, thank you so much for your comment and your kind words! I had no idea, that breaks my heart 😭. I wonder if they didn’t show it because they wanted us to wonder or to watch the anime to see what happened! Thank you for letting me know (:
@@TajinaeTurner Kuina was looking for a sharpening stone for the sword after the battle (to possibly hide she used the sword in the first place) when she fell and broke her neck so Zoro unintentionally caused her death when he challenged her with real swords.
In the English dub of the anime, when Zoro begs for the Wado Ichimonji, he says he'll make sure his name reaches up to the heavens. That made me cry. In the manga, this backstory is done better because it happens as he believes hes going to die. At the end of the backstory, he watches Luffy save him. It gives you a reason why Zoro is so loyal. He wouldn't be able to achieve their shared dream without Luffy's intervention.
Thirdly, (sorry. I do this to keep myself from forgetting.) people in this show can train to become absurdly athletic. Anyone can. Luffy's training is how he was able to do this. That's at earliest a season 2 reveal, but not likely there, either. We may not get it until end of season 6.
Kuina was the Sensei's daughter by the way. She fell down the stairs. Zoro doesn't even have an enemy to fight or to track down, she died a senseless death of a genuinely stupid accident.
Luffy with combat training and parkour? hehehe. A good question. Technically we haven't seen much of Luffy's full backstory yet. And won't be for 500 episodes (in the anime). Maybe Season 4 or 5 if they make it to live action.
Thank you so so much!!! ❤️ I started a K-pop/music channel if you’re interested in seeing more reactions of that sort (: m.youtube.com/@StageAndSoundSpectacle/featured Also thank you for your kind words!
This was revealed in an sbs. Fans ask Oda questions. Pirates are why he became a pirate hunter, but his dad lost his life to a pirate. That's why he became a pirate hunter. Kuina, as I'm sure you've been told, fell down some stairs. The death was likely meant to feel empty. We could anytime in any way. At anytime we could just lose someone. It's kind of like how Candy from "Pose" died near the beginning of a positive character arc. We expected to see her for many more episodes because a positive change arc implies we'll watch this character unlearn a lie they believed over the course of the property and come out better for it, but no, she was taken, so it gives us that sense of her being ripped away from us. Which, yea, I'll take any time to praise their writing. They went to WERK! Yea, sorry for the walls of text, though.
@@TajinaeTurnerit’s sadly so true though. Even in history it’s been known humans do die falling down stairs. Not in the figurative way. Kind of how people die in showers when they slip and fall funny or something. Humans are both surprisingly strong and very fragile. Sadly this baby here done fell bad and I think either she had her sword or she landed bad and passed.
Hey there! I don’t plan on stopping until the series is finished it just takes me a bit longer to get them out since I react to more than one show at once and these are each over an hour that I have to cut down to around 20 mins! Thank you for your patience! ❤️

@@calebmaybin6896 yes I feel like a lot of people miss that part. It might be an anime only thing but i love that detail
Now I can't stop picturing the Crocodile Dundee saying "Crinkey that ain't a knife.. this is a knife" and then him pulling a katana :p

It is a well-known fact that poor Kuina fell victim to the notorious villain Down D Stairs and his vicious partner Gravity 🖖😎👍
That’s so terrible 😢
