Jessica O'Donohue another good tip is to sprinkle Demerara sugar on top. It doesn’t melt & stays crunchy. I also like to add frozen berries to my apple pie. It’s amazing!
I like to cook my apples before filling the pie so that the apples don't break down anymore after I pack the pie crust and end up with a pocket of no apples. And we pack it, lol.
The only thing that the finished piece of apple pie is missing is a nice large wedge of SHARP CHEDDAR CHEESE on top. 🤤 Don’t knock it till you try it.Yummy!

I have to try your Alfredo it looks delicious! I make a caramel apple pie every Thanksgiving, so I am with you with adding on the caramel. I put my pie dish on a baking sheet that way I don't need to worry about it leaking out. It also makes it easier to take it in and out of the oven. Loved your twist on alfredo sauce! We normally make a one pot style alfredo, but I think I will have to try out some of your extra additions next time we make it. I never thought about adding italian dressing to it but that is smart.
When you use the refrigerated pie crust, take it out of the refrigerator for 15 to 30 minutes to let it get a bit room temperature, the crust is easier to work with.

I don't cook a lot because it's just me but love to watch others. I have made some apple pies in my life that are pretty good. Some of my variations include adding raisins, especially golden raisins or soaking the raisins in apple juice or cider, some people use rum etc to rehydrate them and plump them up and they add a little something extra, also sprinkle a little melted butter on top and little brown sugar. But, your pie looked really great, I could almost smell it!! It was beautiful!!

Jessica. Go and get a pie crust shield. I love mine. When using this, you do not have to put foil around your pie. Look on Amazon, Walmart, Bed, Bath and Beyond, etc. They come in different sizes.

I make my apple pie with cinnamon rolls. You roll them out and press them together in the pie plate to make a crust. It is amazing!
