Amtrak Heritage on Cardinal w/private cars June 2016

Amtk 145 and 42 lead tain #51 Cardinal in Springfield, VA on June 19, 2016. Private cars NYC 38 and Braddock Inn from the Collis P Huntington Railway Historical Society bring up the rear.

Great to see the Cardinal now have 2 sleepers, a business class
car, the Amfleet cafe/dinette, the Amfleet coaches and a baggage
car on days when ridership is good. It would be great if Amtrak
makes the Cardinal a daily train again & also make the Sunset Limited a daily train. The route of the Cardinal is one of the most scenic routes in the Eastern United States to travel on, Tri weekly
service is only doing that route injustice. I travel on Amtrak when I travel long distance.
