And I have done every thing to know about them I am watching their shows, their run videos, their interviews and everything available in social media and now I came across this. Seeing this breaks my heart that they went through a lot and they deserve the world. I wish BTS keeps going and becomes a history that every one should know baout. This what I'm trying to say to my friend who also likes Kpop but not into BTS. As for her, their songs sounded all the same and in the same genre. I'm like, NO! But I respect her opinion. You can't make everyone like you anyway.
The thing is they were a hiphop group but the kpop community couldn't embrace them fully so they did what kpop idols do and conformed to their standards. What's good about it is that they mixed in their hiphop, agressive style with pop and it worked. So now surprisingly they are on top of the game.

All I gotta say is these boys earned their spot. If you look at the dates between each new release ("hiatus") they're between 2-5months tops. And that doesn't account for all the hours that go into making and producing the songs, putting an album together, learning new choreo, shooting the mv, their variety appearances, concerts, etc. not to mention the quality and creative control of their songs is amazing. These boys are overworked everyday and deserve all that they have today...and most importantly they need some REST.

i've recently just joined the fandom, the kpop fandom even. and i can say that i don't regret every second supporting these dorks. their love and passion for music has led them to where they are right now, all the achievements and the success. they deserve it. as i watched their videos, i knew them and came to love them for who they are. they can be really such dorks and goofs like little kids but when in the stage, they become like different persons. with all the talent they have to show us, their sexiness, their charisma, their stage presence, it's too much too handle and you can't help but love them. also the fandom, the army, so supportive and sweet and i can't ask for anything more. Auzlairia Fox Lee their hip hop style "scared" a lot of local consumers and they felt that they were "too western" for the domestic market. plus, their company was very small. so their gigantic vision of "targetting societal issues affecting those in their 10s and 20s" seemed impossible. but look where they are now! hehehe. it's very important to look up their history if you want to be a fan...i suggest you read more things! it's interesting and will make you more passionate :)

But now that they have come so far and chose to stay with armys for another 7 years, nothing can describe how proud and happy I am for these boys 💜💜

I love the fact that they didn't go on a lot of variety shows, instead they had their own reality shows, their bangtan bombs, their v app contents, a lot of stuff we have access to online. We are able to get to know them and see their raw personalities on a more personal level that we wouldn't see if they were on a lot of variety programs :)

Yes they do have their own strategy and rather put on their own creativity like bangtan bombs and eat jin etc. They rather do their own thing and not worry about being able to succeed goals they know is impossible but now they are famous globally. Some kpop artists/companies actually is their goal for to be known internationally so they aim international audience and expose them to internationals first but bts case was different. They had local audience but had more international fans in the west somehow.

2016 is really important in particular. Their first daesang, their BST mv(I will never forget how all of us lost our crap because of that video) . I think it was also the year when they started to get more international fans. 2016 will be remembered.
You forgot (and probably many forgot), BTS won a Shorty Award. Under the Arts & Entertainment section, category Music which is in NY, USA. The Shorty awards honors the best in social media and winners were announced in April 2017. BTS also has an acceptance speech video for this since they couldn't attend the ceremony.
I remember seeing them at KCON LA 2014 when they were still a rookie group, and I had no idea who they were around that time. I knew of them, but I didn't know any of their names or songs. After seeing them perform I went and bought a BTS t-shirt and brought it home, stashed it in a drawer, and never really thought much about it. When Dope came out and I watched it for the time I was all, "woah, what? This is BTS? I remember seeing them in concert when they were babies!" Since then I've become a huge BTS fan, getting more involved with their music and learning their choreography, and it really is awesome seeing them come such a long way. I'm proud of these boys. They're practically my children at this point. And most importantly, I have an old BTS t-shirt to make all of my friends jealous. Hell yeah.

This what I'm trying to say to my friend who also likes Kpop but not into BTS. As for her, their songs sounded all the same and in the same genre. I'm like, NO! But I respect her opinion. You can't make everyone like you anyway.
The thing is they were a hiphop group but the kpop community couldn't embrace them fully so they did what kpop idols do and conformed to their standards. What's good about it is that they mixed in their hiphop, agressive style with pop and it worked. So now surprisingly they are on top of the game.
I cannot believe that I knew them since their debut and I'm still going on as an ARMY. 💜

All I gotta say is these boys earned their spot. If you look at the dates between each new release ("hiatus") they're between 2-5months tops. And that doesn't account for all the hours that go into making and producing the songs, putting an album together, learning new choreo, shooting the mv, their variety appearances, concerts, etc. not to mention the quality and creative control of their songs is amazing.
These boys are overworked everyday and deserve all that they have today...and most importantly they need some REST.

일단 전 30대 아재임을 밝힙니다.방탄이 처음에 나왔을때 10대층 위주의 팬층을 공략한다는 느낌을 많이 받았습니다.
당시 방탄소년단이라는 이름을 들었을때는 좀 유치하지않나는 느낌도 받았고 노래도 유치한 느낌도 받았는데
지금의 BTS는 20대층과 30대층도 공략할수있다는 걸 증명하듯 노래들이 정말 최고입니다!
정말 많이 발전한것 같다는 생각이 듭니다.저는 이제 아재가 되었지만 방탄노래 듣고있으면 10대때로 돌아간듯한

I love the fact that they didn't go on a lot of variety shows, instead they had their own reality shows, their bangtan bombs, their v app contents, a lot of stuff we have access to online. We are able to get to know them and see their raw personalities on a more personal level that we wouldn't see if they were on a lot of variety programs :)

Yes they do have their own strategy and rather put on their own creativity like bangtan bombs and eat jin etc. They rather do their own thing and not worry about being able to succeed goals they know is impossible but now they are famous globally. Some kpop artists/companies actually is their goal for to be known internationally so they aim international audience and expose them to internationals first but bts case was different. They had local audience but had more international fans in the west somehow.

2016 is really important in particular. Their first daesang, their BST mv(I will never forget how all of us lost our crap because of that video) . I think it was also the year when they started to get more international fans. 2016 will be remembered.
You forgot (and probably many forgot), BTS won a Shorty Award. Under the Arts & Entertainment section, category Music which is in NY, USA. The Shorty awards honors the best in social media and winners were announced in April 2017. BTS also has an acceptance speech video for this since they couldn't attend the ceremony.
I remember seeing them at KCON LA 2014 when they were still a rookie group, and I had no idea who they were around that time. I knew of them, but I didn't know any of their names or songs. After seeing them perform I went and bought a BTS t-shirt and brought it home, stashed it in a drawer, and never really thought much about it. When Dope came out and I watched it for the time I was all, "woah, what? This is BTS? I remember seeing them in concert when they were babies!" Since then I've become a huge BTS fan, getting more involved with their music and learning their choreography, and it really is awesome seeing them come such a long way. I'm proud of these boys. They're practically my children at this point. And most importantly, I have an old BTS t-shirt to make all of my friends jealous. Hell yeah.

I was only 6 when they debuted I started listening to their don't when I was grade 4 then when I was grade 6 all of the students in grade 6 became an army even the grade 7 and 4.
I'm not crying....my eyes are sweating of how much the boys have grown and how fast it has been since their debut😭
