Dang, I've got to quit watching reloading videos before I go bankrupt
I feel that!
I'm excited to see this. I've owned every version of Autotrickler and a SuperTrickler. I went back to a V3 with IP trickler. It beats the pants off the V4 and ST when it comes to speed and zero otherthrows. This unit looks great.
I’m waiting for him to make it available to order, it’s up on the site for preview. Thanks for doing an in depth review.
First off , love the videos john .
I have looked at most of the various powder dispensers BUT this is the only one I genuinely really want to buy !
This is a dream. So many ideas to integrate this with my setup.
I love the simplicity of this. I’m patiently waiting (not really) for this to become available. Another great video.
Can't wait for this to be available, definitely on the to buy list. Thank you John for doing this Video!
Glad you enjoyed it.
Niiiiice! waiting for the add to cart button so I can get on the list. Been enjoying the cup part of this system for over a year. it's already awesome. but anxious to get the rest of the kit! Thanks Mr 2023 National champ. appreciate you sharing as usual...
Man this is exactly what I need for my Creedmoor scale. Thank you for the info. Really interested to see what the process will be
Can't wait for mine to get here
I'm just excited for this because the Creedmoor scale does fall into my affordability range that I won't get yelled at for purchasing and having a system like this would be about perfect for what I would want.
You're looking at about $1400 with the scale plus a little shipping for the Creedmoore
@@ingenuityprecisiongotcha. Thank you
Whats the cost if you already have a scale?
About $1050 less scale@@bmeeks6066
Certainly gives people another option on the scale, nice to see someone putting in the effort to do that. Had a bit of a fight with the V4 in changing from RL16 to RL26, learned about changing settings, changing the tilt angle, not sure I want to go thru that again, but, at least I understand that system better than before.
This will change between those two powders and hit the very first drop perfect. No messing with tilt angle or any other nonsense
Superb John, best I get in touch with Paul as this will be superb for me and many others with the very fine balls powders that ST won't work with.
Wow, I like the simplicity over my SuperTrickler. The SuperTrickler is a great machine, but it does require tinkering.
Any idea on cost?
Just saw you on Believe the Target. Awesome story and congrats
Thank you, I appreciate that.
@@eugene7890 no idea man
@FClassJohn
Where can I get more information on this??
How much are they?
It's May now. Any insider information on when this will be shipped to the public?
I can’t wait much longer. About to order the autotrickler.
The ability to plug it in and use it is insane.
Ive been playing with the latest 2.50 RC3 on the super trickler. Its probably the best virsion yet but its not as easy as this thing.
If i can get a good profile for each powder ill be happy and just leave it, but it hasnt been that simple. Maybe this time.
heck yeah , its fast and simple i want one maybe two
Does the scale itself have to be calibrated with a weight?
Any of these balances(scales) can be calibrated and each one will have its own method to do so but honestly it's not always necessary. I'd probably say the first time you get one it can't hurt to do it but now I rarely calibrate unless I'm trying to diagnose a problem if it occurs.
@@FClassJohn thanks for this
Great video!
So the concept is taken from the DA bulletfeeder design to trickle powder. I was thinking of doing something different than the rotating tube as well , but this seems to work fine
Looks good. Thanks for showing. Are there any disadvantages vs Super Trickler or Auto Trickler? Maybe a little faster with fewer over throws?
I'm planning on doing a comparison on the pros and cons of all 3 systems on my channel when I receive my beta unit. Border Battle Munitions is the channel. Not sure when I'll be receiving it at the moment
F-Class John, now that you have played with the Supertrickler and IP trickler, which would you get? They are both in a similar price point.
Very nice. If I shot a lot more than I do right now, it would probably be worth the upgrade. Sticking to my Autotricklier for now.
Wow '' Great Video John 💯💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
Nice review John!
Glad you enjoyed it
Very cool, you could have a loading party:)
Incredible!! Thank you for sharing. 🐕
Pretty slick system. I personally don’t know if I would swap my V4 for it but can see how someone loading many thousands per year for competition might like the additional speed.
Its not just about speed, its about being able to drop a target weight the first time with no fuss and be able to save that load for next time. Its repeatable powder to powder load to load. Its the EASY BUTTON!
@@ingenuityprecision certainly cannot argue with that. Hope you sell a ton of them!
Still hanging out for my call... Have been on the waiting list for more than a year... Site now saying 4th quarter of 2024... "Estimated"...!
Have you any real up date on just when this product will be available?
Last I talked to him a few days ago he's still shooting for end of Aug and beginning of Sept.
It would be great if he could get them to market and fill the pre-orders now.
I can see other tricklers going up for sale when this hits the streets. Similar to what happened to the LabRadar when Garmin came out. 👍👍 Anyone want to buy my V4? 😂
Yes please 🙈
John… did you need to put the spring in this one too, or did he include that fix in manufacturing?
I don't think he's planning on shipping with a spring but I honestly don't know. I threw my spring in this one though. You can hear it for sure. That's why the clicking is louder.
Great info!
Thx John.
Alway like your videos I have the Entris with glass sides where can i get the round plastic cover upgrade Thanks
It will be an option when you buy the unit.
Hey John thanks for showing this off! Any idea on compatibility with the A&D EJ series scales? I bought the EJ-123 when I was loading small batches and thought I would have enough time to hand throw and trickle each load, but have been looking for a better way now that I'm jumping into competitions. I was told by AutoTrickler that their system wouldn't work with my scale due to the slower stabilization than the FX series. However, I'm hopeful this system with the adjustable stabilization time would change that.
I honestly don’t know but I would send him an email and ask. As long as the interface is compatible, it should work in theory, but I can’t guarantee it.
I appreciate the response and will do that. I'll repost the answer here just in case anyone comes along with the same question. @@FClassJohn
Thanks, I'm just amidst the choosing struggle.
@F-Class John I have the V3 with IP's trickler added. I also have A419 upgrades trying to prevent splash out from the initial drop of the V3. You mentioned no splash in the video, have you experienced any since then and is that due to the custom diamond cup?
cup is specifically designed to eliminate splash out
@@ingenuityprecision Is there an option to purchase just the cup or will there be?
Yes it will be available@@jamesesenwein5152
“Coming Soon” - the paint is fading on the sign. WHEN ??? And what is the cost benefit to such a system ? What is the cost of this system (say I have only the phone) ? And then, how is this better than a good mechanical thrower, or one of the ‘reactive’ (and presumably far less expensive) systems ?
Doesn’t sound like this is the system for you if you can’t get your head around the benefits of it.
Cost? $1000 for trickler set up. $600 for scale.
What is your time worth? All the time in the world to use a beam scale, mechanical thrower and manual trickler?…probably not for you. Need to load 100+ precision rounds in an hour, probably a wise investment.
If you’re after speed and precision then this scale is for you. Only you can decide if your time justifies the cost.
@@NCETRY That is a sensical response. Thank you.
Thanks you !
John, what is your tolerance when loading? +/- 0.01, 0.02, 0.03 grains, etc?
I'm good with +/- .02 which is a kernel of powder up and down. But to be fair the +.02 are pretty rare.
Always have me spending more money!
Will all the disk come with the trickler.
I don't know which ones but he usually included most of the popular disks, others are available for less used powders. I'm sure he will have a list of disks (might even be the same as the list he has on the trickler unit on his site).
I have a creedmoore, I would like to see that . I've not finished watching, so forgive me if you do that in the video. Any idea how much ?
I have no idea on cost yet but he said the preorder should be up in the next week or two.
About $1000 less scale and draft shield which will be a little extra for the Creedmoor.
so will this do lower charges.....say in the 30 gr range? I may have missed it. All I heard was 50 gr bushing.
Oh yeah, it comes with a small and large bushing. I talked about the two bushings but didn't show the small one (it's pretty much the same looking as the large). The small bushing will do everything up to about 55gr and the large does over 55. I'm working on doing a video showing smaller charges because I know there's lots of needs there.
Would 3D printing variable bushing IDs help the process? hmmmmm ;) @@FClassJohn
@@FClassJohn Thank you sir. See. I knew I missed something.
It will do charges down to a couple grains!
@@ingenuityprecision thanks. I missed him saying it earlier
Any idea of price ?
About $1000 less scale
Hi John which model Sartorius Scale are you using?
Entris 64-1s. It's the older version. There's a new Entries that has been out for a bit now.
@@FClassJohn I've got a FX, but thinking about picking up a Sartorious for this setup. Do you know which Sartorius this will be compatible with? All Entris scales...? The new ones certainly look different and worried about compatibility...
@@Hyperplasia7 I know it'll work on at least some of the Entris II models but you would need to reach out to Ingenuity Precision to find out which one for sure. I also know he'll have bundled versions that may save you a few bucks over buying an Entris on your own.
John, what model Entris is in this video?
Entris 64-1s. It's the older version. There's a new Entries that has been out for a bit now.
@@FClassJohn Thanks John, just finishing Eric's podcast on your championship. Congratulations!
@@shanedavis4976 Thank you, I appreciate that.
Where do I get one when available
Link in the description.
Shut up and take my money!!! 😆
What is our timeline on this?
current eta of Feb availability
@@ingenuityprecision exciting
Don’t forget! This supports American company. In Oklahoma!
Very interested in getting at two or three units. I don't understand why there is an obnoxious 1980's keypad and cable bundle. Maybe this is just the beta hardware configuration, but it's 2023 and all that stuff just seems absurd. Why not just set up a scale with Bluetooth and once that setup is operational, move onto the next unit...or just have the option to do two or more setups simultaneously.
You can control multiple scales with one app but each scale needs its own control box. For the purpose of this vid he was just moving the box from scale to scale.
@@ingenuityprecision So, can a guy just have the cables and boxes tucked down behind the top of the reloading bench (keeping the top of the bench clean and tidy), or do you need to access them as part of the setup process (i.e., powering on/off).
Price???
About $1000 less scale
Hat about the ball powder ?
Works with most ball powders very well, but I will warn you that there are some for pistol that are just too fine to work like H110 for example. They have to be at least .010" in size
since you got a lot of scales you should give one away... to me hehe... or sell one?
Looks a whole lot simpler than the super trickler… I have over 100 throws in AI mode and it’s still wont dump accurately
The SuperTrickler takes some tinkering. Once you get it running it is faster than I can keep up with. But it’s annoying getting there.
@@thepracticalrifleman I finally got H4350 working, but all my ball powders will not settle down. Over 100 AI throws, still no luck.
@@Nonedw I’ve only used one ball powder in mine. I found some settings online that others had used and it seemed to work ok. It’s annoying for what the machine cost.
99% of the time I use extruded powder.
@@thepracticalriflemanThe same can be said about v4 and v3.
Interesting
Release date keeps getting pushed back
Honestly its just cheaper to buy ammo at this point
Did this company go out of business already, cause their web page is NO help??? Click on any of their links and you just get "Oops! That page can’t be found! It looks like nothing was found at this location. Maybe try searching?" WUWT???
No not at all. I see that right now, but he's hard at work assembling for the first batch. I did let him know however that something happened to his site, thank you.
This looks expensive
First
John... Did you spend $10k on a scale... That looks like the scales we use in biotech / chemical mfg. O.O
There is no 10k scale there.
The Sartorius is just the older Entris and sold for about $1500 when it was out, the newer version is a little more.
