    Is this possible for a dependent “y” variable that is attribute data with 2 or 3 descriptions (ie: show, no-show depending on time waited)?

      I think you need MultiVariate Linear Regression [y1,y2... = f(x1,x2,...)]. All the video with this title is Multiple Regression(y=f(x1,x2,...) I didn't find any things to calculate MVLR in Excel so we are adding an Icon on Data-Tool to do this based on this library:
