Basically I am not allowing it to stay in the same planter next summer season, which can take over the entire bed. I'm going to pull it, put it in it's on container and let it overwinter in our greenhouse.
I was picking wild blackberries and found wild thimbleberries growing in the same place, which makes sense because theyre related so they should have similarly growing requirements. But the blackberries seemed to almost act as a living mulch for the thimbleberriees
@mariap.894 I feel the same exact way, but I believe the plants could bridge the gap between us all. No matter how different we may be, we all require the same basic nutrients that can only be acquired through plants.
I'm in zone 5b, sweet peppers don't take as long as to germinate compared to hot peppers. But, I start them all in January anyways, which gives them extra time to mature. You just need room to pot up indoors.
@@tamooz6649 I live in a hot climate too! I’m not sure what he meant by careful with the mint since you can’t really control how the roots grow, can you?
The mint will eventually take over the whole container! Very invasive, but to start out it will be ok. At a certain point, put it in it's own container. It looks and tastes great!
being careful with mint is an understatement. I live in zone 8b and my mint and parsley usually survive together through the winter and every year the mint takes more and more space in my raised bed. My poor parsley is in a sea of mint atm.
Because you have such a thick jungle food forest, how do you deal with pests that find all that thick foliage makes a great vacation resort? Is there enough airflow? I know you can supposedly companion plant to help keep pest away, but does that really work?
I grew mint in my backyard and it going masive. It took all the space and widly spead to others area. Better plant mint in container to prevent them spreading too much
Is it advisable to crowd the herbs like that, companion planting or not, I feel that they are in hypercompetition with one another for crucial micronutrients at their various stages of growth/maturity... 🤔
In these troubled times, your beautiful videos are such inspo for gratitude, hope and peace. Thank you.

That's an interesting observation. It's amazing how many plants can grow well together❤
Shame we humans can't sometimes coexist like that at times. That's why I love my plants more than my neighbors ❤

I’m just wondering, how come mint doesn’t take over the planter? Thanks.
Ive also had issues with it 😂. Im in California so idk if its the heat for me lol

Beautiful garden. Where are you growing? What zone or state?
It is so peaceful to watch your videos, so green and beautiful!!❤ Why do you have to be careful with mint?
Mint will take over the entire space. You should harvest often or keep it cut back.
@@juliemendoza7258 Ok. Thank you!!

Very nice 👍💐
This KILLS me and my OCD. There's no order. Lol
How do you get the carrots out with the peppers?
Are they both ready at the same time, so you just take everything out!?!

No need to go market 😊

Your garden always looks pest free
How do you grow mint ?
I tried growing mint twice and it dried up any suggestions?
Why do you have to be careful with mint?
Did you say summer sage?
I’m growing mint and now I’m scared, be careful of what 😂
I think you had Rosemary not thyme
