This is a great video. I have worked in residential home building in the US and Japan home building fascinates me. Don't get me wrong, there are some excellent home builders and craftsmen in the US, however, Japan just does a lot of things differently. The lumber always looks perfect, framing is different and always looks precise, the concrete work is impeccable, finish work is precise, PEX plumbing, doors and windows are amazing quality, foundations are different, etc.

Omg why everyone in comments section is critisizing. Everywhere in world construction is made upon according to the local weather and conditions they are not dumb who is investing his money so if u can't appreciate someones work then don't even criticise them also...

    • @unknownperson2422
      @unknownperson2422 5 років тому +2

They are not dumb? They didnt put tar paper down befor they put the roofing shingles up. Which means the roof will leak. Its going to happen and the roof will need to be replaced in 5 years.

Wow, so many ignorant comments here from non-engineers. Wood is flexible enough to withstand Earthquakes. And there are millions of wood house that are over 100 years old. New materials such as pressure treated wood, composite trim, higher PSI concrete, spray foam all make new houses better.

Wooden house can serve for 100-150 years with proper approach to its building. Advanced technologies in wood production allow to prevent and forget a lot of negative processes: twisting, cracking, decay, discoloration. For example, technical drying of wood lets to get a strong building material.

Houses are built in the same way in Sweden and probably in all developed countries where wood is the main building material...

Except in the U.S. Residential construction over here is, for the most part, an embarrassment. The focus is almost exclusively on "fast and cheap," with little to no regard for long-lasting quality.

  • @vitaminwaterdaisuki

I think this video is about a Japanese company building a house in Russia as the company probably just came in from Japan. It sure looks more efficient than the ones in North America. At least they use plywood instead of some drywall. It's much stronger. (though it's less fireproof) Most of the components look to be Japanese as well.

  • @doctorkhan4378

An old adage goes,"Every one knows how to fix his house best"!
A: Japan: lot of wood available, treated chemically, mechanically, long life, good carpentry, quick completion, neat, quake proof, warm, cold climate prevents termites. Japanese know their houses better.
Pakistan: this will be disastrous: very costly, bad carpentry, warmer & monsoon weather killing wood in just few years turning it into ghost house, squeaky & spooky, fire, unsafe from burglars, no one likes it. It will be stupid to make a wood house in warm climates. Bricks & Concrete is the thing.
Remember, water being universal solvent, protect your house from water, from whatever material you make your house. Keep your floor few steps higher than ground. Care for roof drainage.
Engineers may Not tell you this!🤣

I laugh at these comments.. wood frame homes last 200 years plus’s easily. And yes they stand up to hurricanes and earth quakes. I have built them for years. Lol. These guys are going above and beyond. Very high quality all the way. No they do not build fast. The homes in this video most likely took at least 4 months to build each at a minimum. Framing is fastest part roughly 2weeks. Finish takes much much longer.

Community: Use your noodles: Any structure will suffer some situation regarding a severe storm or a cataclysmic occurrence. Builders do the best they can regarding this. The "Build it Back" USA, elevation situations are built for flood protection. I do not know if these undertakings will be fortified or buttressed sufficiently for hurricanes.

Most of these commentators obviously have not seen houses built in Europe and America - Wood frame is common especially for interior partitions. They all use a tremendous amount of wood. Even with an exterior Brick wall you'd still have wood and wood composite inner layer, with insulation in-between.

It's much better than the houses that are built by WOGS & designed by WOGS in Australia. They Created a slum conditions to Australia thanks to cutting corners. For examples: Doggy brick works caused cracks to appeared within year & a half. Working in Heavy rain conditions when pouring concrete for the foundation. Creating weak concrete to support the weight for the rest of the Building . Kitchen exhaust pipes only a metre long so the moistures & grease is form within the roof cavity not to the outside.(fire hazards over time)
Just look at the story in 60 minutes this year on the story about the opal tower (04/02/2019) Dangerours cracks already appeared in the 4 months old Building. Residents had to moved out & never to return & without their belonging still in the Building. Life Saving evaporated $ 800,000 per apartment. 392 apartments. Over 1000 Building projects like this one across in Australia.
