130/19.8= 6.5 debating if i should get 2, 4 lbs or 4 2 lbs. if 6 isnt enough i would like to go to 8lbs
I dunno how this is supposed to work. I dive a 7mm and weigh 210:
1) 4.4*7=30.8
2)30.8*3=92.4
3) 210/92.4=2.7 lbs?
So either I'm doing something wrong or something doesn't add up.
Howzit so this video is for 1.5MM & 2MM, I have another video for 5MM but none for 7MM just yet. Would you say you wear about 20lbs or so in 7MM suit?
@@VentureWetsuits Yeah 20-25 lbs roughly is probably accurate. Ive never done the exact weight. I just keep adding weight till I hit the correct amount.
Yeah it takes a few dives and definitely depth places a factor on how much weight. The formula only puts you in a ballpark, weight is either added or subtracted based on diver preference
this doesn't seem to be correct for thicker suits. more suit usually equals more weight. your formula is just the opposite neoprene is basically buoyant so the thicker the suit the more weight you need. its not hard to do in shallow water to get it right.
Yeah, this video is for 1.5MM & 2MM suits, we have another video with another formula for 5MM suits.
