I've had the same gold tooth for years now and this is the first year it flowered. I attempted to get a photo time lapse but I discovered first hand how hard that is. Good work man you made my idea into a much better video than i could've made
Thank you very much ^^ I keep at it. They are so surprising ... I always feel like I do not do a very good job of capturing it. I keep trying though ^^
WOW Hank, what an INCREDIBLE and very BEAUTIFUL Aloe time lapse, and the gorgeous coral coloured blooms are so very STUNNING, and so beautiful to see the Echinopsis bloomers in the background too, thank you so much for sharing this remarkable video, and Hans and I are sending you lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER from across the Emerald Isle to Oregon for a wonderful Thursday XXXXX
Thanks! I propagated a lot of aloe for succulent arrangements. When I saw this one make dense pups all the way around. I decided it was a stand alone project all by itself. ^^ It stands up really nice.
You are completely right. I did not really start the shoot with the end in mind at all. I was centered on the pot and the visual focus point was 3 feet higher at the end. I will try to learn my lesson. Hope your day is really good ^^
Hello! Thank you for beautiful video. Here as my aloe is blooming for the first time and I'm so happy! I didn't even expect it to. How long is the whole process from bud to bloom. I noticed the buds around mid-January. It has really shot up and stayed there for a few days now, so want to be sure it's still growing. Thank you.
On the gold tooth aloe, it took 7 weeks from first showing to orange color bloom. The need a lot of water during that time to keep that flower moving. Hope your day is really good. ^^
This is amazing. I also enjoyed your cactus flowers blooming in the background. I admire the effort you put into this. How many weeks did it take you to film this? 👏 👏 I recently tried a time lapse but it was a fail. 😄 So I know the effort it takes to do one.
Thanks! I have so many fails before a video survives through edit. They fail for so many crazy reasons. I might make a fail footage montage at some point. ^^ I almost ran out of storage on this project... It took just over 7 weeks.. The cactus showing off at the same time was a nice bonus. Hope your day is really good!
Hi Hank! That was a beautiful time lapse. How long did it take to video the whole process ? I'm pretty sure it took a couple of days just to be condensed into a 4 min+ video. Amazing collection of cacti in the greenhouse, Hank. 👍👍👍
It took 7 weeks. There was so much data in the videos that I had to make the video in parts so my computer could do it. I really enjoyed the whole thing. Thanks for watching! ^^
Amazing cactus and succulents
Thank you, Hope your day is really good.

Great Time Lapse Video Hank , Sure gives a perspective from the Flowers in the background on how they come and go! Great Footage !! Cactus On!
Thanks for watching ^^ Good fun sneaking all the cactus photobombs into a succulent timelapse ^^
Very beautiful!!
Thanks for watching ^^
Neat flowers. Just wish the picture had been centered. I've just discovered there are more aloes out there than just aloe vera. Some neat ones.
