This was actually filmed on November 23, 2009 in Los Angeles and not live on New Year's Eve. I was there and it was an awesome show. :)
one of the best concerts I've been to - and it was free!! First time I was on a rail for a show & it was such a different, more personal experience!! Only 4 or so songs ended up on tv but they actually played more like 15 songs. Can't believe its been 15 years

This was actually filmed on November 23, 2009? strange you don't have the opening song: Holiday, the first phrase Billie says is "Happy Fucking New Year!" kinda useless if its on 23th of november don't you think?

Awesome show and a good set but the crowd was really not that great. Got a feeling most of them were there since it was free :~ I drove down from Santa Barbara to see this show. It was awesome!
I know its 9 years later but it was better than the crowd at the iheartradio festival when they performed!

Green Day sounds so amazing live. This pretty much sounds as good as the album version, and its 10 years later.

i remeber watching this when i was 6 or 7 and being so confused bc it wasnt saint paricks day and green day was performing. :p
well Green Day didn't stop anywhere near Ohio during their 21st CB tour but they had no problem playing in L.A. 3 or 4 times plus a free gig -.-

This concert was mad !!! Specially early days songs from 39/Smooth and Kerplunk but there is no prfessional filming I guess or never shown before
If you mean the solo at 3:57. I didn't know any of the guitar players from Green Bay can play like that. I thought they never do that during their concert. Or was that only Billy can do that and everybody else can't.
+Jacob Way-White They're crazy talented people. I think even Mike and Jason can do that. Not sure about Tre but Tre is a great drum player.
+Random guy I never heard the drummer do any tricks. All he does is just play with speed. The bass player is OK as well. But is pretty much The color of it all. Do you know of any other links where you can hear Billy or other guitar players from GreenDay do tricks like that. I'm blind by the way, And a musician myself. I just thought that all the guitar players from Greenday just do cords and nothing else.
Jacob Way-White Tre may be good at speed, but also at solos. Search up Green Day's Missing You or Burnout. Some iconic solos there.
search for "billie joe armstrong guitar solos" he likes to play them live. he's a great guitarist but he likes to focus more on the singing so he mostly plays power chords
