So true , Just making a change to the message you send when requesting payment but in particular late payment makes a massive difference too. I used to send something along the lines of please can you make payment for window cleaning on x date and a lot of the time it would be ignored / still no payment. As soon as I changed it to “ we cannot trace payment for your last window clean on x date please check your records and make payment as soon as possible to ; …….when I send that I in most cases get instant payment and an apology

Plus keeping paper records you have to securely store them (GDPR), you can't just leave them lying about in the van! Squeegee etc make things so much simpler and take less time.

GDPR is important, but people are less likley to give you the run around if they can see you have a level of professionalism that outstrips others.
