I think you might like IONs new colour "smoky pink". I just recently tried it and it's an amazing gray/silver pink. I believe it comes in a demi and a permanent. I've only tried the demi and the colour is wicked. Also, you're the cutest lil thing ever!
OH it does come in a demi? I only saw it in a permanent, and I was so iffy on it. I will probably wait to see some reviews on it, but it does so super promising! Thanks for filling me in lovely!

Have you tried the adore colors? They have really heavy pigments and dilute down very well. The shine it creates is amazing. One bottle will last you a long time. Also, Sparks brand is made by Pravana so that is why you see the similarities.

If you get a chance try the Joico semi-permanent hair colour line! They're about 11 bucks a tube (I found mine at Carolyn's Beauty Supply in Oshawa) and last much longer than any other colour I've tried! The formula also smells like fruit and it's a gel consistency, so much easier to apply :)
Dude what a good video! I also think the ion pastel colors aren't very good. They're so thick and the color doesn't last very long even though they're super pretty and sometimes the color wouldn't even show at all and I had really light hair when I tried them! Kind of a waste in my opinion. But yeah lol :) love you girl!

Ever since I did my purple hair, I only use pravana violet because I'm super picky with the tones and consistency of colors. But I get pravana easily because I'm a (soon to be hair dresser) and can get it from the stores

What ratio of conditioner to color do you use to refresh your color in the shower
If your sisters a hair dresser she can get her hands on pravana for cheap(at least in the us we can) the reason it's so much on eBay and Amazon is it is made for professionals and not for just anyone to use at home but it's like 1/4 of the price for pros 😅

Im super surprised that you have to re-dye your hair with the ion. When I saw your review on it I was like BEST HAIR DYE EVA. Then I told my best friend about it since she is currently dyeing her hair she did the blue one and she said it wasn't thick like you said in the vid. And she hasn't had to re-dye her hair for about 3 months!

Maybe because that pink is a really fade color and blue kind stick into your hair and it's more difficult to remove. I can say that the consistence of ion it's sooooo different than others hair dye's. I used magenta without bleaching my hair and looks amazing for about 2-3 weeks, now I have like red highlights :3

Ok so now I understand why pink kiss(sparks) isn't good . I just did my hair last night and it was a really nice pastal pink Then I wake up this morning it's a peach color and most of the pink is on my pillow . I'm going to try your method to see if it stays better.

I only use ion when I really just want color for a few days it fades so quickly well when dialuted. I like sparks its a little more costly not much but also easy to get I get them from hot topic and they normally have a buy 1 get one 50% or some amount off manic panic stains way too much and is harder to get out and more expensive with less product. but sparks and arctic fox are really two of my favorite brands for hair dye (;

Have you tried shampoos that deposit color into the hair? I Believe that is a new thing, so every time you wash your hair you deposit color into it
So is your hair in the video after one wash? Also have you any experience with diluting Manic Panic? I assume that's probably the most obtainable dye for most people. Great idea to put dye in the conditioner!

Gloria Marchetto Pink Kiss was way too purple for me. It works better if you hair is really blonde, and although in this video it looks blonde, my ends aren't. So I just found it better for me to use a Magenta. Trial and error though love! Everything works different for everyone! How do you like Stargazer?
I had the same experience with the Ion pink dye, it washed out almost faster than manic panic. But the Lavender color from Ion sticks to my hair and will stay for months, it's weird.

I used to use sparks for dark purple, but it was so much maintenance and messy. I'm thinking of switching to a light pink. how messy is pink? I'm assuming not as bad as purple. I can't be staining my shower and towels and pillows anymore, lol.

I have a question, does the dye stain? Because i noticed you werent using gloves. Also is it sweat resistant because i dyed my head deep emerald by splat and on the first couple days (i sweat when i sleep) i woke up with blue on my neck.

Ahh thank you so much for this! My hair is purple and I started out using ion color brilliance and to be honest, its my favorite tone of purple that's I've used. It came out such a beautiful lavender/ light purple. I do agree however that it washes out EXTREMELY fast :( and the consistency is incredibly thick, making it hard to get all of the product out and mixing it with conditioner. I'm using manic panic right now and I wash my hair about 2-3 times a week because my hair got used it that. I keep my dye on for about 2-3 hours. Manic Panic came out more vibrant and brighter but it also washes out really quickly! Not as fast as ion color brilliance, but still quickly. It's turning a grey purple, which I do love but it's getting annoying. I was going to try pravana next but I might try Sparks! How long does pravana and sparks last?
Elisabeth Eng I've heard the Ion purple is GREAT atctually! Pravana lasts the longest, but Sparks is crazy similar. So it's really your call, but I reccomend both. If you get Pravana violet and dilute it, it will last you FOREVER, it is SOOOOO pigmented!

hey Tasha! I have recently found that my hair cannot.hold onto the vegetable based dyes that I have been using for a long time, after like one wash they are almost gone, I recently bleached out some blue so I don't know if that is what started the problem, do you have anything you could recommend?
is it worth it to only have it for two and a half months?

hi tasha:) my hair at the moment is high lighted blonde, but some of it is really blonde, and the rest is dark blonde with a bit of natural brown, do you recommend bleaching it or dying it with a platinum hair dye :) x
22missmaddy You need to lighten those parts, best way to do so if bleach, but you might be able to get away with doing a bleach bath! Just be careful, it's always hard to deal with different shades of blonde an even them out. You might want to go to a salon if you can!

Hey! I don't know if you will reply me cz this video is old but I really need help. I have dark hair I dyed it from a saloon to pastel pink. They bleached it twice to get it lighter. Now my pastel pink color is gone and it's really light whitish and yellowish is there. I want all my hair to be white don't want this yellow shade in my hair. What do I do to make it all white ? Even the roots?

Олена Ференц If you're going pink you can totally have some blonde/yellow in your a hair like I do, just remember, the more yellow, the more orangey pink it will fade too.

may i ask what your real hair color is? i'm asian, and i have dark brown hair not totally black. i'm thinking of getting my hair lightened professionally and then add color by myself. i live in the states and haven't gone light in ages, do you have any tips for dark brown hair? i'll have to have this video on favorite to go back to for reference. thanks and your hair is gorgeous!!! and you haven't talked about manic panic (unless you did in your older videos). what is your personal take on that?
Hi, I'm not Tasha but I think I can help you.
As you can see my hair is (was, bc that's an old picture) dark brown and I bleached it by myself several times.
First time I didn't know a shit about bleaching so I messed up and I had to cut off most of my hair.
The level of lightening depends on the color you want to put in your hair.
For example:
For pastel colors, you need WHITE hair, ooooor the lightest blonde you can get.
For blue, you definitely need WHITE hair, not blonde. Because if you apply it on blonde hair is going to turn out green in some parts. (I haven't tried blue in my hair but I've heard that from girls who have done it.)
You can find out about the rest of the colors by yourself. :)
Now, I don't know if you've heard about it but anyway...
1.- Buy 100% natural coconut oil (it must look like butter) and apply it in your hair.
The rule says that you have to put it the night before you're going to bleach. But I apply it 20-30 minutes before and it works amazing! Everything depends on your hair. So, better be carefull.
Now, with the coconut oil in your hair (DON'T WASH IT!) go ahead and bleach it!
Coconut oil is the only one that can protect your hair from the hard chemicals.
Not olive oil, not even argan oil, just coconut oil. Trust me, it saves your hair from damage like a 95%!
2.- After bleaching, wash your hair with normal shampoo and apply your conditioner. Leave it as long as you can, then wash it off.
3.- You can buy a looot of treatments, but I prefer to apply the same coconut oil and leave it aaaaall day. Extra virgin Olive and argan oil work wonders too!
4.- What I personally do now that I had to cut off my hair again (Not because of the bleaching but because of a bad hair dye:( ) is:
1.- applying the coconut oil, leaving it all day.
2.- washing it off WITHOUT shampoo. ONLY COLD WATER.
3.- applying my conditioner.
4.- Letting my hair air dry.
5.- Applying my styling cream (which has saved my hair, it's amazing).
All of those products are for ''damaged and weak hair'', they ''protect and rescue''. And I love them!
5.-Our hair has natural oils that help it. When you're washing your hair with shampoo you're getting rid of all those good oils and not letting your hair do it's thing.
So, I repeat the same steps I just told you 4 - 6 days a week.
That's because sometimes I like applying extra virgin olive oil and getting rid of it's smell and greasiness only with cold water is impossible. So I have to use shampoo. Anyways, shampoo is not bad. But, trust me, my hair is healthier now that I don't use it too often.

OXKPYUJAOX My real hair is dark brown. Not totally black either! (I'm not a big fan of Manic Panic, it washes out VERY fast, especially when diluting to pastel colours, so I don't normally talk about it because I'm not a fan). I know it sucks to hear but go slowly with the lightening. Let your hair heal, the first time I went pastel, I didn't and I caused myself a lot of damage that could have been avoided. So, listen to your hair dresser, they will do everything they can to protect your hair! As mentioned in the comment below, snow white hair is preferred, so make sure they get your hair to a pale yellow before toning. Good luck lovely!

thank you tasha! yes i've heard a lot of youtubers regretting not going slow on the whitening process. my hair grows super slow so i'll have to be patient; don't want to end up with short hair. and i'll keep note on manic panic. that product is everywhere but hearing that the color washes out fast is devastating to hear.

Sadly, no. As you saw in the video, her hair was a VERY very light blonde before dyeing. So you would have to bleach/lighten your hair to that light blonde color in order to achieve any pastel color :)
However if you go to a salon they have some bleach free alternatives if you don't want to damage your hair, but if it is your first time bleaching your hair I would still go to a salon, it's more expensive to go to a salon but it's better in the long run 😋
Also, do you recommend artic fox hair color? I want to go a pastel pink ton blonde ombre using that brand of dye. Thanks!^-^♡♡♡
