Just a reminder guys & gals - if you put "Rain City Hobbies" into the comment section, your name will be entered a second time into the draw for the $25 gift card from that store (great for custom KDM bases, flock, etc).
I'm maybe 4 months into my painting journey and I've heard from EVERY UA-camr "not to cut towards yourself, but I'm doing it anyway". Well, if you're like me and just starting off... do NOT cut towards yourself. I learned that lesson the hard way.
It's a hard habit to break! One tip, if you really do like to cut towards yourself - put a bandage on your thumb. It will stop the blade from cutting into you on the chance that you slip. (usually ;) )
As a beginner, I love your videos, it is really easy to see the advanced techniques and also that trial and error is not so bad. I just wish you used Vallejo more than GW as I have mainly purchased their colors as they are cheaper and I also prefer their drip a drop method over GWs bottles.
I agree with you about Vallejo - most professionals who don't paint Warhammer use Vallejo Game Color paints instead of Citadel. However - maybe this will help you! www.dakkadakka.com/wiki/en/Paint_Range_Compatibility_Chart
Also, GW paint is the only thing I can buy near me, and I have to drive 100 km to get it. The next closest game shop that I know about is about 1500 km away. I live VERY far from civilization :)
I would love to do more if people were interested! I already painted the Butcher, but I didn't make a video. Any particular miniature you'd like to see done?
Amazing job as always! Seriously well done. What type of brush do you use? I've ordered some Windsor and Newton Series 7 brushes that will make it to where I can no longer blame the brushes for anything :P
It's funny that you're watching this, because I'm watching one of yours right now haha :) I have a shameful secret - I use brushes that cost 80 cents. They are "Mod Podge Plaid" or something like that. Plastic bristles. I have a pile of Windsor and Newton & Artist's Loft brushes as well, but I only use them for eyes, buckles, or free hand stuff like tattoos, face paint, etc.
*gasp*! :D I know of some pro-painters that only use cheap sets (they throw them away though regularly). As for watching this, I clicked on it when you first published it and it's been sitting as a tab in Chrome this whole time. Finally go around to watching it though and really glad I did!
Do you use airbrush, if yes where did you bought it? I'm also canadian (quebec) and I don't know where to buy the compressor and airbrush to avoid customs fee. You have any tips?
You can actually buy airbrushes at Michaels, including air compressors! The Iwata airbrush and compressor are both for sale there, and that's a pretty popular one. I don't know if you have them in Quebec, but they are in most of the provinces I've been to. canada.michaels.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-MichaelsCanada-Site/en_CA/Product-Show?pid=10366606
Hehe no trouble, I never looked at DeSerres because, for some stupid reason, I don't like this store. But it's logical for them to have this kind of product. I'll have a look in my next trip to montreal. My gf love this shop hehe. I'm looking for this because I want to be able to prime all year long without having to look at the Quebec temperature :). Thanks for your time!

To answer your question, I don't use airbrushes (yet). I'll get one eventually!
I just realized you can't buy them from their online store for some reason, but I've seen them on the shelves at the Michael's in my town.
Sorry to keep spamming you, but after a search, I found this store in Quebec that sells Iwata airbrushes and air compressors: www.deserres.ca/en/
