@@p1ug0 the manga came out in 2014, the story is already over and the anime is like 12 episodes away from being finished. New gen is anything that defines THIS GENERATION (like jjk, csm, frieren etc.) definitely not the 7 season anime with a completed manga

I know people are still getting put onto it and it often gets paired with demon slayer and jjk, but its twice the length of both and inspired specifically jjk’s artist to create manga. I know that It is hard to quantify “new gen” & “old gen” but once you start inspiring the artists that are currently making manga, you should be put in a different generation. It peaked in the 2010’s as far as influence and popularity and it’s slowly losing steam with fans, compared to jjk, in which both manga and anime fans are still riding the hype of the story.
Something I just realized about MHA when Malcom said the endeavor fight was the best fight in the show is that mha focuses on the emotion of the fight rather than the fight itself
