Thank you Sir. Your presentation is concise and to the point. Very reminiscent of my math professor 50+ years ago at the Canoe. Thank you for your series on setting up the Labradar...it helped me a lot...Best wishes

I am impressed by your thorough work and grateful that you share it with us so that we don't have to re-invent the wheel, as it were.

Just got my LabRadar yesterday and took it out to the range today. I'm messing around with all this and you have single handedly saved me so much time. Your video was clear, concise, and educated. Keep it up and thank you.

THANK YOU. The first time i watched your video on excel for the LabRadar, six months ago, forced me to take a free online course on Excel. That was life changing for me. I work off of spread sheets at work and now thanks to your work. I not only can manipulate the LabRadar data, I'm Killing my Boss, because he is clueless when it comes to manipulating the data in excel. I love your videos, Sir.
    Keep them coming.

I am glad the information is working for you. However, "killing your boss" is not the typical method people use to get a raise ... :-)

Great and thorough! Trying to decide if it is worth spending the money. Have you ever used it with other shooters around? Does it still work? My local range is often very crowded and lately the only place to shoot

Erik, yes, I have used it when there were other shooters. But they were on the adjacent range, so they were not close. I used the Trigger Level preference to decrease the sensitivity by selecting a higher Trigger Level value. If they are shooting right next to you, you will have two issues. One, you may not be able to set a high enough Trigger Level to prevent their muzzle blasts from triggering your device. Second, lets assume you can set a high enough Trigger Level so that only your blast causes the Labradar to start measuring, if the person next to you fires at about the same time as you do, then as the Labradar starts recording your velocities, the other person’s bullet may enter the radar’s signal, thus causing erroneous readings. This may show up as a low signal-to-noise ratio in the individual shot csv files.
What you may have to do is monitor the shooters around you. When you see an opportunity to shoot when no one else is, you can take your shot. Remember, you don’t have to hit the 10 or A ring for the Labradar to do its job. Also, learn how to delete a shot in a series while at the range. If you are waiting and you see someone else’s shot set off your unit, once it has finished recording, delete that shot. Not the ideal situation, but there is no way I would use a traditional chronograph when people are shooting close to me. A typical chronograph is placed in front of the firing line, and if someone accidentally shoots it, you may not have recourse since you intentionally put an object (your chronograph) down range.
Is the crowded conditions being caused by the pandemic? If so, hopefully things will ease up later in 2021.

Do you find that the Lab Radar consistently begins bullet tracking at 6 yards to 10 yards or so? Have you tested with didn't placements of the Lab Radar to get it to begin consistently tracking distances MUCH closer to the muzzle? Say a yard or two.

Rico11b, No, I have not been able to get it to start tacking at one or two yards. In the following video you can see how close the firearm/muzzle is to the Labradar unit. ua-cam.com/video/-GhVrmbuekI/v-deo.html

Why not delete series in the computer vs Labradar doing the delete?- nice Video, thanks.
