For running a 5k, plus the other stuff you said had happened at the beginning of the video, I think you can for sure break 4 minutes in the 1500m, if you came in fresh and more prepared with some more of the speed kind of workouts for even just 2 weeks or something like that. You almost got 2nd in the 1500m, after winning the 5k in 15:41 on the same day, keep up the amazing work Ben! I've broken 5 minutes in the 1500m, now I'm going to see if this year I can break 5 minutes in the mile :D Wish me luck.
Thanks bud. I reckon I’ve got it on me yes but at the same time in no rush. Looking ahead at the marathon in the later stages of the year so happy to have ticked that speed box before transitioning back up the distances. Maybe I’ll have one last crack, if not I’ll get it next year 🤞🏻
Congratulations on 100K subscribers, it just shows the incredible value to you provide to the running community and how we are inspired by your efforts / journey! Been running alongside you for 3 years now and have been grateful to even say hello a few times. Thank you Ben
funny enough I had my SLOWEST run of the summer today. Left early after having preworkout (instead of coffee) and about a mile and a half in had the worst stomach cramps of my life. Bolted for the house and proceeded to lay down an absolute log. I tried to go back out after but the was crazy aftershock...
I have had some of my best squat sessions (training powerlifting) when I've been tired with like 3-4h of sleep. deadlifts on the other hand have many times been just horrible when tired.. Thanks for this great video and congrats for the 100k milestone! : )
100K!!!! Well done man, I can see all the effort you put in these videos. Really appreciate it. And congrats as well on the 1500M pb! Cheers from the Netherlands 😎
Good too see you on the track more, my favourite videos from ur channel where the ones from the Watford Wednesday series back in the day. I’m currently an u17 and I’m aiming for sub 4 by the end of the season. Currently at 4:03 so hoping for the best. Love the vids
Well done !! Can't beat getting points for your Club. I competed at NAL on Sunday. Got the W in 3000m A and 1500m A races with a PB to boot 😃 and 1st in 800m B race running with people less than half my age so kudos to your clubmate Paul as well 😅
Congrats on 100k subs Ben! 🎉 I’ve been a sub from the beginning of your channel and love your content. You are truly inspiring. Keep up the great work 🙂🤙
Hi, I have a question about Insta360GO 3. What mode do U use, freeframe in 1440, or Video in 2.7k? Do U have problems when U using the clip on head mount with orientation: On each recording it keeps deciding what it wants to do itself - either record horizontally in 16:9 which I want, or keep the aspect ratio recording horizontally in 16:9 BUT actually record vertically in 9:16 within the 16:9 aspect ratio. Any ideas?
Just watched the James Dunne breakdown video was really cool to see the difference and similarities in forms on different paces! Keep up the grind brother 👍
Where I live, points are scored based on your result as a time (track) or distance (field), and your age category is also factored in (u18, u20, open, 40+, etc). So an u18 runner finishing just behind an open runner can still earn more points.
@@BenIsRunning Genuinely anything, just two of my favourite fitness creators, both English, I'm sure the humour will be off the charts. Mark might also need some help with his running :> (thinking of his 9 year old parkrunner video), maybe you guys could blend his "above average" mentality, with your competitive running to help people improve on their running in that in between.
Here's a tip to break 4 for the 1500. 4 sessions of (3 x 400m x 3 sessions) at 63, 62, then 61 seconds with 4 mins break. To develop the neuromuscular adaptation to complete the first 3 laps in around 3.15 in comfort, then gut out the last 300m in 45 or better.
You learn something new every day....I thought Gillingham was pronounced G(J)illing ham? 🤔 New vid needed on optimal tapering.....camping and night on the piss 🤣👊🦾🏃💛💚🤍
Is the armband you wear on your left arm easier to wear than the one around your chest? and why do you wear it around your arm instead aroiund your chest ,? Inga DK.
honestly what I would doat this point is just do the 1500 nd 3k split and just do 100 mile weeks which you can do with ease and just infinite threshold it like jakob ingebregsten and then go into the next olympics after paris
It's funny, that you are so "nerdie" about your accumulated data of your body and track it before the events, but didn't know which race distance you would run😂
Having a boozy night of camping takes the pressure off, because if you do badly, you can just blame it on the Carling. Gives Ben the freedom to do his thing. Is the armband you wear a Coros HR monitor? Are you happy with it?
Exactly. I didn’t feel too special but after the warm up I knew I could get a decent run out. Very good yes, just as accurate as a chest strap but much more comfortable
I really want that scale, but i found a code that is 20 percent off instead of your 15% off code. I want to support your channel but it puts me in a mess.
Congrats on 100k Ben, keep it up!!
Thanks Jordan! Hope your well 🫡
First, I thought he ran an ultra with 100K distance :D ...but anyway, keep it up! :)

100K! I subscribed March 2023 no idea how many subs the channel had back then. It has definitely exploded since. Congrats Ben!

great running and congrats on 100K Ben !

Amazing Vicky, great job!
You gave your all in the 1500M, but that was less than an hour after running the 5K. Impressive! Go Chelmsford!
CONGRATS BENN!! on hitting 100k 🤩🤩
Congrats on 100k subs Ben! 🎉
I’ve been a sub from the beginning of your channel and love your content. You are truly inspiring. Keep up the great work 🙂🤙
Thanks so much! Appreciate you following along
Good stuff Ben. I have fond memories of that track, making my masters 800m PB (2:07) after many years break. Never came close since 😊
I certainly was a nice track! Felt fairly sheltered too as was very windy on the warm up
Hey! I just noticed you hit 100K! Well done Ben! I think you only had between 10k and 15k when I subbed up. Amazing how much has changed since then!
Legend! Thanks mate
Great job in that race, and loved the voiceover. For a non runner like me also extra helpful so I know a little bit what’s going on.
Appreciate the feedback :)
congrats on 100k!!
Congrats on the 100k subscribers!

Any time a runner says they “aren’t feeling great” prior to a race, prepare for a PB
😂😂
literally said that last week before running a 5k pb 😅
Why is that? I got my pb when I wasn’t really feeling it
Thanks Ben, good video.
I also bought Hume's device and got a discount thanks to you again 💪💪
Hope you enjoy it!
shoutout from kenya
Thank you!
You are a class runner Ben 👍🏻
Congratulations for 100k you are the BEST🎉🎉😊
Thanks 🙏
Need a rematch against that Norwich guy at the next SAL meeting next month for sure with how close that finish was ..

ahah! Beers=PB's but I'd probably recommend post race rather than pre :)

Love the content Ben, but that pronunciation of 'Gillingham' is an absolute hate crime 😂
😂
Running a 1500 after a 5k. That’s a tough ask
Thankfully the 5000m wasn't super fast at this one or id have been cooked.
Should have marked names on the tires and whose ever tire traveled the furthest wins a prize.
