- Slickrock! Just like the title says its 99% slickrock and 1% dirt. Most overrated trail in Moab? Or most classic?
Some will tell you it's overhyped, and there's better trails. While there may be faster, chunkier, more intense trails on the sides of cliffs etc. Slickrock is an absolute must hit for sure and one of the most unique 10 mile loops you'll find anywhere. Don't be fooled though its alot of work and the climbs require some serious mashing.

Ihave been there about 30 years ago. Our bikes had no Suspension, rim brakes and a18gear shifter. The week in Moab was unbelievable. Greets from germany
I did it in year 2000. Best MTB experience in my life ! Greetings from Argentina !
I was out there as well in June 2000. Rode with a bunch of guys from the UK. Me, I’m from Mississippi.
15 years ago, I hiked the Canyonlands for 7 hot early spring days, and topped off that most unique of hikes with a day on Slickrock. Best mountain biking thrill ever! Try it even if you're just ok at mountain biking, it is a thrill.
I absolutely love slickrock. We’re about four hours away Denver to Moab. Love it. God bless keep the rubber down.
Your aerial shops are super rad. It really shows how it looks identical to the sand dunes only frozen looking. I have a place for the dunes that’s on its own I bet this place hits the heart!
Best video yet dude. The drone shots really take it to the next level.
Thanks man! The drone shots are all Ryguy hes pretty good at flying it now!
I love riding slickrock! I was just through there in June
I finally just hit it this week, realizing now how much I missed that awesome natty halfpipe ( 5:35 ) by just staying down low. need to get back!!
I rode this in 1999 on a full rigid and had a blast. Haven't been back since @(
That's funny, my wife and I too were there in 95,time flies but now planning to return this fall for my 50th.
I did the same. In 95. Bikes have come a long ways.
@@dsmam19 ya they've came light years lol. 28 disciplines of bikes/riding haha. I wish it was like this when I was younger
Great job taking the video! This trail(s) look very intriguing and we will be visiting!
Thanks for the great video. I think I can do this one! Not as fast, but it helped make my decision to take it on. Music selection was a nice touch.
Thanks! Ya some of the climbs are hard... bring good grippy shoes in case you need to walk up some climbs! But its a super fun and classic trail!
Great video shots and riding, cool stuff!
Thank you! My buddy took the drone footage... it always makes the video
I did it, but id don´t have this Pictures. I go only the way without doc. perfect your Video,, i love it.
Great Video Guys! It looks like a mountain biking playground out there! Where are you all biking next?
Been focusing on our Home turf lately in the mountains of NH and VT, after a brief trip to NC and TN earlier this year. Nembafest is next on the list this weekend at Kingdom Trails...
@@ProjectnortheastThat's Great NH and VT are some of our favorite places!

Keep up the Awesome work!
While not the best trail in Moab. It’s very well known and everyone should ride it at least once
Great video! I was wondering what camera you used that were on the riders and editing software. Thanks!
Thanks Jeff! On this video I used a Gopro hero 4 on an evo gimbal and my buddy flew his mavic Pro drone. I edit using Powerdirector Pro as it's what I'm used to using. Tell your friends and be sure to subscribe!
@@Projectnortheast Thanks for the info!
Been there done that several times the best.
Im 51 and a decent intermediate rider… trying to figure out if I can do this.
Maybe try the practice loop first? The thing that would concern me the most is trying the climb and not making it as some are very steep and tumbling back would be bad, the rest of the trail has a few steep downs but with good brake control and super grip on the rock you can slow yourself down pretty easily.
@@Projectnortheast Sounds like a great idea. I’m a strong climber, but would absolutely do that first.
@@Projectnortheast thanks!
Go for it! I first rode it at 40yo, and now at 74 I push a few more of the climbs but still love it.
I'm in Moab, looking for running trails...is this a good trail to run, or am I going to have right-of-way issues with bikers?
There will be alot of bikers but the trail is wide open on slick rock so plenty of places to pass. Keep in mind the long loop for even bikers is a serious ride... its not as easy as alot of people make it out to be it's physically demanding and once you commit to the big loop your in it.
Nice!!

Would this be a pretty good trail to try for someone who still considers themself a beginner?
In the grand scheme of things I wouldn't consider this a real beginner trail. The climbs are hard, the descents are fast! They do have a beginner try it loop that is roughly a mile long that you should try before embarking on the entire 10ish mile loop
Will you consider this trail dangerous? I have 12 years of MTB experience riding in Northeast
Any mtb trail can be dangerous depending on someone's abilities that being said this trail is fairly easy but what makes it hard are some really hard climbs and some rollers. The climbs are so steep you need to be ready to get off and have shoes you can walk up or you would risk a fall
No problem
Great video, but that song makes me want to call my high school girlfriend and tell her that I am sorry for everything that I put her through. I hope she grew up to be an amazing woman. 😭🤔🤣
Well I got her # if you want... 😂😂
hahaha
You should have flown the drone out over the Abyss. Great otherwise!
My buddy was flying it from the parking lot so kinda just got what we got. If I had to do it again for sure!
MAI 1994 SlickRock Moab UTAH das war kein Traum 😊😂
Nothing "slick" about it.
40 seconds of drone footage in a 7 minute video hardly qualifies as, "Like You've Never Seen It!"
Mmm I mean it kinda does 🤷♂️
Stay on the trail.
