Indians really need to wake up and embrace the true wisdom of Buddha, which is 100% Indian. If you look into history of India, all you find is Buddha's imprints, nothing else. Oldest Hindu temple you can find in India is may be around 2000 years old. Even these cases are very suspicious because so many Buddhist temples are converted into Hindus.

Also I want to further add that corrupted Hindu Brahmins wanted their religion to be superior than Buddism, so they spread the myth that Buddha was Lord Vishnu's avatar; but this is false, Buddha was nobody's avatar, he was a normal human being who got enlightment because of his own effort and determination.
