I was a Bones fanatic; at that time, I did not know who PTX was until I saw Hallelujah then it hit me, they were on Bones. Great episode of "Bones". Now I'm Pentatholic.
I saw it a couple of years ago just by chance. The characters Mitch and Scott play are hilarious and Kirstie acts really well. I loved the bickering between scott and Mitch in interrogation. So reminiscent of Superfruit episodes.
Caught this episode watching a ‘Bones’ marathon awhile back! Mitch just belongs in front of a camera! Did you recognize Avi singing the PTX original “Light In The Hallway”? He doesn’t appear on camera, but you can’t miss his voice. Fun reaction!
@@jimk.7663Kevin and Avi weren’t part of the show. The show just used a Ptx song in the background that Avi happened to be the lead singer. It was the studio version.
Oh dear, dear, D when shall you learn, of course we know about it! LOL I've seen this episode at least 10 times....but I'm a Bones fan as well as a diehard Pentaholic. I've seen every episode of Bones at least 3 times....and yes they were great in it. Mitch killed Chandelier, OMG, it was awesome...and Mitchy and Scott were funny as hell. Most of the episode is typical murder mystery serious, but there is some comedy in it. Most Bones episodes have some comedic relief in them to offset all the "blood and guts" serious killer stuff. But any Crime Drama TV buff generally has Bones in their cannon, along with CSI, Criminal Minds, Law and Order...all the usual stuff. These guys are multi-talented, they can sing, act, dance, write music, spread fairy dust, hell whatever planet they come from, they got taught "all the things"! LOL And the end song is their original "Light in the Hallway" with Avi's gorgeous voice. If you want to watch the whole episode its from Season 11, The Strike in the Chord. Bones is on Hulu and maybe Netflix, but it ended it's 12 Season run back in 2017. I've got the complete Box set of Bones so I can enjoy it whenever I want. Yes I am a super geek when it comes to Crime Drama's. LOL Glad you enjoyed it!!! 🥰
I watched Bones, and at the time I wasn't 100% keeping track of what Pentatonix was up to on the daily. I was a fan since the Sing Off, but not the kind of fan who knew or participated in all the inside-the-fandom stuff at that time, so I just tuned in to Bones and was like..."ummm...wait...I know them!" Bones has serious moments and serious crimes, but it is also very humorous. The characters are super quirky. Its like the mid point between CSI and Psych, lol. I recommend it for a binge!
It always cracks me up that they immediately followed up "They needed a girl for high notes!" with Mitch singing Chandelier. I suppose it wasn't a "belted G flat" but it's still pretty ironic. I have a digital copy of the episode and a slightly longer version of the Walking After Midnight/Chandelier mashup is on UA-cam (and thus on my Mitch playlist).
Oh what fun. Thank you for doing this D! Kirstie, Mitch and Scott are pretty good actors. Mitch's vocals on Chandelier are just superb as is his effortless dancing while hitting those notes. PTX already completed filming a Netflix Christmas Rom Com, where they play themselves and have their music. Can't wait for that to air. The song at the end "Light In the Hallway" is a PTX original. Love your PTX reactions. Still lots more for you to do - more official music videos, live performances, tour videos, games sessions and all their solo projects.
We all knew about this. They told us numerous times before the episode came out. Of course we watched. You do realize Mitch, Scott and Kirstie were all in musical theater together before PTX. Kirstie was on broadway in Kinky Boots. So not so far fetched.
I saw this episode before I was aware of PTX, and didn't remember catching on that this was celebrity cameos. Which is a good sign because sometimes you can tell that people are planted in an episode even when you don't know the person. When I got in to PTX I got so excited looking this up again, haha. Also, seems like you missed what was happening with the photobooth pictures. Recognize some unlikely smoochers? haha
I saw that we had Bones on some service, so I watched the whole episode. Fun. Another fun fact, that is Sam Tsui as the new leader of the group. He did Behind the Scenes for the Sing Off during PTX’s season.
Love that you finally found this! I remembered seeing this when it originally came out (loved Bones) but didn't know anything about PTX back then. Not many reactors find this one, so it's a blast to see it again. This was something like season 13 episode 11, and it was one of the less intense episodes of Bones.
Fun fact (for me at least): my mother-in-law who is a retired forensic anthropologist was a consultant for Bones. 😁💀 I’ve only watched this clip of the show, however. It must have been a serious show sometimes because I don’t think she would have consented to be a consultant for a show that was purely comedic.
It's quite a dark and gruesome show but a lot of character interactions in between are very comical. Kind of how the vibe in places that deal with really dark things can have the most chill, joking tilt to handle all the dark.
I remember seeing the episode when it aired, but I had no idea who PTX was at the time. But I do remember thinking "how high can he go?" You did not catch it, but right at the very end right after they arrested the other guy, you stopped the video, two words into a song, then you let it play through. That song was "Light in the Hallway" written buy Scott Hoying and sand by Avi Kaplin. Go check it out. I've seen this video two or three times, and never noticed Avi singing until this time, because I hadn't heard that song until recently. Oh, and to answer your question, Bones was a mixture of serious, and silly. You never knew which way an episode was gonna go, and it might change a couple times an episode.
LOL ... we've all seen it. Many times. The entire episode was fun. There's an actual audio of their duet out there somewhere. ua-cam.com/video/O0jlyaC_wgo/v-deo.html One of the biggest plot holes is their suggestion that the director wanted Kirstie's character for the high G-flat. Yet, here's Mitch doing Chandelier and hitting it easily. That final song during the credits is PTX (Avi, singing the solo).
Hi D. Glad You liked my recommendation. Here in Germany "Bones" is shown in a loop on two different channels. After the last episode it starts back with the first ... But now it gets more difficult to find You some PTX-Clips You havn't seen already.
Omg...this is great...what cant they do?this is too much...keep loving them more and more...thanks for finding this...love them all...im glad you found this...id never know about this if it werent for you...still my favorite reactor....❤❤❤❤❤
Bones is an incredible show, it is a great blend of mostly serious, intense episodes, but it has terrific one-liners, loveable and sometimes very funny characters. There was the occasional silly episode, but they are all entertaining. Both husband and I have watched the entire series at least a few times through. I'd highly recommend giving it a try, see if you dig it! Oh and fair warning, it can also be very gory. 😉
Wait, did I find the glaring hole in the plot? The kid was killed (or so they thought in an early clip) because he wanted to bring in a girl to hit the high note? With Mitch already right there in the group? Such an Oops. Love that you reacted to this, I had seen bits and pieces but never all the scenes, so thanks. Peace …
Wow! How fun! I used to watch Bones all the time and I don't remember this episode. So, that was kind of double fun for me! 😊 I bet you're right; it's a hidden gem that a whole lot of PTX fans don't know about! ❤
It was season 11, ep 16. The Strike in the Chord. I have seen this (not the whole episode) but Bones was a good show. Gross but good. Their death scenes were unique and graphic. Acting was good though and it lasted 12 years. Good run.
Sam has a video where he also sings Chandelier with Kurt Hugo Schneider accompanying him on 4 different instruments. He sings that song very good too .
I see there are some Superfruit Future Friends songs you haven’t reacted to such as Deny U and Goodbye from Lonely. I can’t find if you reacted to the actual winners announcement for season 3 of the sing-off. You have great patrons sending you all these links. I hope they find more.
