Thanks for the review, I love to see the third party lenses. For these fisheye lenses, and others which challenging optics, I would love to see some sort of test chart, even if it needs to be positioned in the center or in the corner separately. It is hard to assess quality when looking at an image of a tree or landscape.
These Chinese lens makers would do themselves a huge favour by coming up with decent brand names for the Western market. I just can't take 'Brightin Star' seriously.
Brightin Star just reminds me of when LG was called "Lucky Goldstar" and was a brand X brand back in the day. Though B.S. probably is a bad name for Brightin Star as well.
@@GioJonnhyK I'm not operating a commercial business under my UA-cam username, so whatever you think of it hasn't any impact on me. But if I was a manufacturer and purveyor of third party camera gear and wanted to maximise competitive potential, brand is something I would consider seriously as it pertains to the markets I am attempting to penetrate. "Foreign Particle" would be a bad name for a lens company. As is "Brightin Star" IMO.
Last time I was this early, Christopher Frost was pouring me a cup of tea
This is the 7Artisans 10mm f2.8 Fisheye ED rebranded.

Howdy to you, too, Christopher!

TT Artisan is the worse while AstrHori and Viltrox are fine imo

You shouldn't buy chinese technology
I love the fish eye look. Don't laugh at me but I use the Sony HDR AZ1 (F/2.8 & 2.8mm) Just for this effect.
For a second my brain was confused when the image changed between aperture settings 😂 I'm too trained to see test shots at the stage I think 🤭
Hoping they send you that 35mm f0.95 for review.
Could you do a review of the brightin star 35mm 0.95? Some call this lens almost perfect, others are more mitigated. Thanks for the good reviews!
So the question is... this one or the AstrHori?
Sorry just got to that part. cheers...
Chris, please review the GF 110mm F/2. I've been waiting for it for such a long time. Please!!!
?
There are TTArtisan 11mm f/2.8 Fisheye. It's a smaller and lighter than this lens. Optical quatily might be better.
Price
I love the shape of the front of the lens! Bit exposed though...
