As a Parisian I’m very glad you got to enjoy paris that much!! I’m a bit sad to hear people say they had the worst time in Paris and all so it makes me happy you didn’t!! Angelina unfortunately is not trying anymore, kinda victim of it’s fame I’d say, it used to be a good place when my mom was a kid, she dreamed of going there but now it’s just a « tourist trap » I’d say :) at least you’ve tried it ! No regrets!

🎉so excited to see this video. I was in Paris in November also! We ate a little French food and also had to try McDonald's and KFC special items that we don't have in the US. So, totally feel ya! Sorry to hear you had a few bad experiences with service, but you handled it well and thankful you had the awesome service elsewhere 😎 All of your IG pictures there are amazing! 🎉
KarenBritChick, who is also of a darker hue of beauty, got the same treatment. She was very upset about it. Especially how the women treated her, in a restaurant. We all concluded that they were jealous of her taste and beauty!
But good thing most of the French waiters were very friendly to Sundai. Let's not forget that. 👍🏽

I went to Paris before covid and missed the opportunity to try a bakery there 😢 so you showing us all the sweets makes it a little easier for me to plan out places to check out when visit next time😊
Oh, I have been to that first restaurant years ago when my study abroad guide took us there because it was 'cheap' lol, I ordered shrimp and they came with the heads on! Can't say it was overall very tasty. Love this, hope you do more travel in the future!

McDonald's in Europe and Asia hit different in the best way possible.
I highly recommend you coming back to Europe around this time (Christmas) to see the Christmas markets in Germany!

The food as Chartier isn't exceptional but good enough, highly recommend just for the ambiance (but be patient because when it's crowded, waiters can take a long time to get to you).
Also, I agree, Angelina's hot chocolate is worth it but don't go there for the food, many other options available. And again, be patient, long queue ahead haha 😆
I went to Paris this past April, and like you, we didn’t get a chance to visit every place that was on our list. When you return, go back to the first Angelina’s you were at. The food, the service, everything was 10/10. Definitely try their french toast. We ate at Cafe Marly too and enjoyed the food. Also check out Le Relais de Venise L’Entrecote. They serve steak & fries, and it was 10/10. Will be adding some of your recommendations to my list for my next visit. 😉
Sundai on a Friday, Le Twins (lol), and Paris?! TENS ACROSS THE BOARD!!!!
I don't know if that can help others, but I would recommend Bateau Mouche over Bateau Parisien, or let's say few years ago it was way better, so maybe still? 😬

Thanks for saying places are cozy or like you feel like family...I'm so nervous with certain nicer restaurants that they're going to be snooty. My mom would literally walk out if they seemed to be like that and I travel pretty often with her. * crossing fingers to get to Europe sometime * (Some of my ancestors are from France too so I'd like to see if there's info on them there too.)

The French can be snobby. Accept and enjoy despite the nonsense. PARIS is a FOOD, ARCHITECTURE, FASHION mecca.
But most of these French waiters were very kind and welcoming. Only the minority of them were rude.

I was about to write that you should visit Italy or Spain if you are looking for good European food and you just said you loved the italian café xD yep, you should definitely try Italy or Spain.
She enjoyed some of the French food too.
Next year when you come back to Paris I recommend coming in early December and doing multiple French cities Christmas market tours by highspeed rail Strasbourg was my 🎉 favorite overall. Last year we did the German ones definitely worth doing except Germany's trains run on CPT 😂. So you have been warn.

@@SundaiLove I recommend doing Switzerland too but know your going to need the bag 💰 maybe two, the Glacier Express is bucket list worthy in winter and they feed you several delicious courses over the train ride
I learned real fast that they really do not like when you don't say Bon Jour before you ask a question 💯 highly recommend Nice, France and the train takes you from Cannes to a town in Italy, Ventimiglia. But go in the late afternoon or evening on a Thursday to that city.

When it comes to eating in Paris I'm planning on going by the restaurants Michelin star count. It's a shame Joel Robuchon passed away buy Guy Savoy's food was just as incredible.
The "escargot tasting" reminds me of Mary Kate and Ashley in the movie "It takes Two!" If you haven't seen it go check it out. You'll know exactly what I'm talking about when the part comes up 😂😂💯

How did you get that takeaway when most of the food was good in her opinion? I think you just gave more prominence to her few bad food experiences bc they feed into your former expectations. But she enjoyed most of the food.

I got a big flashback and Yep, the waiters are so fine and they are big flirts 😂. And I guess Angelina's has a line all year round, my mom I ended up going to the restaurant that had outside seating near it and we had the best pizza of my life and lemonade. It was so crowded when we went we ended up trying everything from KFC's vegan promotions, McDonald's double fillet o fish which America doesn't advertise but is definitely on the app but we just don't get salads anymore, and the local french and Italian restaurants by our hotel.
I had a friend that lived in Paris for work for 5 years, it was her first time being back as she is French and lived on Paris till she was 9. She hates how much it smells there and had to beg her company to send her somewhere else. 😅😂

I wish you would’ve gone to Treiz cafe or gumbo yaya! So casual yet undeniably incredible. Treiz cafe has the best gluten free brownie and the carrot cake is to die for. Gumbo yaya is also very casual but the most incredible chicken and waffles omg

I'm glad most of the waiters were friendly so that outsiders can stop stereotyping French ppl or specifically Parisians as rude. For the most part they can be very nice. I've had great experiences every single time I've been in Paris and the rest of France. 👍🏽
