What’s the movie “A Million Ways to Die in the West” about?
Constantly terrified, the meek and lily-livered sheep farmer, Albert Stark (Seth MacFarlane from Family Guy and Ted), mainly struggles to stay out of trouble in dusty and dangerous 1880s Arizona, utterly convinced that everything out there can and will kill him. And then, for a good reason, Albert gets dumped by his charming girlfriend, only to fall head over heels in love with the intriguingly mysterious, horse-riding and pistol-packing stranger, Anna (Charlize Theron from Mad Max Fury Road and The Old Guard). However, he must gain courage in order to confront Anna’s villainous outlaw husband, Clinch Leatherwood (Liam Neeson from Taken and The Schindler List). Unexpectedly, Anna and Albert have a genuine connection--and as our unassuming hero learns the fundamentals of survival in the inhospitable wild west--an ironic, yet grave challenge against an unforeseen and mighty adversary demands that he puts to the test his newly found abilities. But, just how many ways to die are there in the west?

@@karazor-el6085 Thats why she wanted to do the movie. She was getting tired of all the serious roles she wanted to do a comedy. No kidding, actual poor people in the west were still using cap and ball revolvers well into the 1900's. self contained metallic cartridges were kind of expensive depending on location and caliber, but the actual guns were the prohibitively expensive part, also many old west towns were "gun free zones" to try and keep shootings lower, which helped popularize the pocket derringer concept, especially at bars and game tables👍

Imagine a guy from the 21rst Century dropped into the Wild West. He might try to invent some things IF he was smart but in all reality he just dies on his second day of exhaustion. 😆

I'm guessing all the muzzle flashes and reports were added in post. there's zero recoil or muzzle lift.

Charlize Theron has never looked better than in this movie in my opinion. Try to change my mind

She looks gorgeous in 90% of her movies, she has the most beautiful feature & statuesque body. The rest 10% are where she had prosthetics/crazy makeup on, such as Bombshell & Monster.

In the Old West, bottles grow from the trees and plates from bushes.

Must be shooting 22's hence why there's no recoil 🤣
