I agree with your take on the little yellow squares on Astonishing Wolverine. I've had a little figurine on my desk for years that has those squares but in silver, so that's what they look like to me
The Astonishing X-MEN Wolverine suit may have minor changes to blue and yellow suit but to me, I will definitely try to get him so I can display him with the cool Astonishing X-MEN Cyclops, Great job with these reveals Hasbro and good video Robo
I'm very pleased with the reveals today. Superior Spider-Man is great! I did a custom on the Amazing Fantasy body a while ago, and I'm happy with that, but this is great! Nitpick is the eyes, I would have preferred that angular, evil look they had, but oh well. I'm definitely going to grab Warbird and Astonishing Wolverine, because they look like great figures and I want to support this articulation set up. Danny Ketch Ghost Rider just gives me classic ToyBiz vibes, both cartoon and original Marvel Legends. I don't really have any connection to Iron Fist & Luke Cage, or Skaar, but they are looking great! All in all, pretty damn cool!
The Astonishing X-Men Wolverine, Warbird/Ms. Marvel (Carol) and Superior Spider-Man win me over, what an absolute amazing wave! A little nitpick, but i don't think the yellow square-thingys on sides of Logan's gloves and boots are accurate in the Astonishing X-Men comics, they were simply a full of blue, i'm guessing they're taking a note from Scott Johnson's artwork or the other artists' covers. EDIT: Oh, i wasn't the only one have issue with yellow squares, good to know!
The brighter color palette of these newer figures, along with improved stability and mobility, is what motivates me to spend money. These characters feel like they belong together. You can put a lot of these Avengers characters together, and they look like they're part of a set, but that also has the effect of making older figures stand out. Classic Thor is an awesome figure, but his darker look doesn't the brighter looks of the other original Avengers and like Robo said, that new She-Hulk makes you want a Hulk in a green that matches.
This made me excited about collecting again, period, but especially Marvel Legends. I love making lists but when you see how well Hasbro is doing with the figures they are putting out . I needs all the updated version of old figures (Hellcat, Captain Marvel, Misty Knight, White Tiger, classic Thor, Wasp from CW, Thor from Seige, Dread Knight, Absorbing Man, Miles Morales, Kamala Khan, Sam Alexander, etc) and I need new characters and version of faves we haven't seen (America Chavez, Daken, Iron Patriot, Cystal, a pinless Scarlett Witch in any one of a dozen costumes, Shard, Husk, Mondo, Skinn, Synch, Cypher, Karma, Magma, Exodus, Destiny, etc)

I have been absolutely craving a new Superior Spider-Man for YEARS! When he got leaked I was worried the RYV body would be too big. In love with the figure already. I also just recently started an X-Men display and then they reveal the exact Wolverine costume I wanted!
Having Carole with the updated articulation gives me hope that they'll be using this buck for all there agile or fighting figures it's just a shame the couldn't have given these arms to characters like moonshine . I can definitely see them putting psylocke on this buck. Would also like to see Carole in her original costume and a more bluish second costume with the heeled boots that mocking bird and secret wars captain marvel came with. Also now need a comic Jessica Jones to go with that luke 😂😂

The astonishing wolverine is a pick up as well because I'm a sucker for wolverine. Warbird will also be a pick up. I just hope preordering these, especially danny ketch won't be a problem. I think the wolverine dan teases is the mcu hugh jackman wolverine from deadpool 3. That rock tease is a mystery.

Astonishing Wolverine is MY Wolverine. I just got the Mafex tiger stripe but this beats it... other than those yellow rectangles. SO CLOSE! I'm with you, Robo. For me, it's the Whedon Astonishing run that is the quintessential Astonishing stuff. Man, Iron Fist's torso having the plunging V-neck be a U-neck bugs me so much. Hopefully this makes the Immortal Iron Fist look cheaper on the aftermarket. Danny Ketch has always been my favourite Ghost Rider in terms of design. His bike is the coolest! Props to Dan for _correcting_ the others about the Akira slide.

Yeah Robo I feel you on the urge to customize Wolverine. People may deem it "nitpicky" but as a customizer and minipainter myself, some differences are just too noticeable. Personally, I've been waiting a decade for a good Astonishing Wolverine but the bright blue they used here is just off. Cassaday used a darker shade that not only complements rather than contrasts with the costume's black elements, but the overall darker colors helped to achieve Astonishing's more grounded look like other comics from the Early 2000s. Big differentiator from the more vibrant 80s and 90s, which the blue Hasbro used here is more fitting for. Ironically, the heat claws Wolvie from a while back had the right shade of blue so I don't get what went down here. A lot of other Astonishing Wolverine figures got the right idea too, even Toy Biz. Also why in the world does his mask cover his entire nose, nostrils included? The entire nose is painted black. It's particularly jarring since one of the most iconic panels for this Wolverine has him do a fastball special, and if you try to recreate that panel with this figure, the black nostrils will become really noticeable. I guess some people will label these nitpicks but that doesn't invalidate that the differences do exist and to some, those will be noticeable. Especially if you come from minipainting, where choosing the right color shades are vital to the mini you're painting. Same deal with model kits and figure customs.

Leaning on the Bonebreaker one because it was sort of Astonishing-looking, just needed to paint the claws and shoulder pads. Then, BOOM, a proper Marvel Legends Astonishing Wolverine drops. Well, now! This is the second time this has happened to me. Last time I was thinking of making a custom Ultimate Cap on the WolfCap body, then not long after the Puff Adder wave Ultimates Cap was revealed.

2024 is shaping up to a new return of marvel legends. Lots of characters and costumes that I love. Ghost Rider looks like the perfect uprez of that series 3 toybiz. Skarr is way thicker than I envision. Im glad to see the claw pips on a new wolverine. Now Ill just need a Shang chi repaint for an Immortal iron fist. The 2014 superior spidey held a displace for ages, a great update. As much as I hate the reverse crunch+diaphram combo and how frustrating it is, I want that flipped like the GI Joe or Jada figures, Im seeing a lot more new sculpt and paint that we've been getting. Looks promising, Hasbro has needed to step it up to compete in the high articulation $20-25 space. Just have to see some accessories and bafs. After the Diamond Capt, Im hoping ML gives us more definitive versions.
I love almost every single review today. For me, the one disappointment was the flame effect being attached to a Ghost Rider (still love the reveal) figure instead of a Rachel Summer's Phoenix figure
I was hoping for a different body for the Superior Spider-Man, but the use of the Iron Spider body (at least, I think?) isn't the worst one to give it.
I'm not even a Ghost Rider fan, but that figure and bike was so badass, I need it for my desk.
