@@mh4lly941 as far as I know. Most of his samples from old Asian flicks were easier to clear than the old soul records he used. Some samples were so manipulated that the labels couldn’t tell what he used. But after while. RZA started composing original music instead of sampling and he actually wasn’t that bad. Shit! The dude can play a piano or any keyboard instrument like a keyboardist.
Those Liquid Sword flips were insane. I bet most people would skip right past some of those dollar bin records, but rza creates one of the best hiphop albums of all time with em.
Thanks for this. I've been going through a RZA tear. Listened to his work heavily in the 90s and appreciate his artistry and revisiting it to make a tv title project for a course.
Old style of sampling is not possible nowadays because of copyrights. May be this explain why wu TANG released différent volume of soûl shaolin and re-edition of records mentioning sample sources.
Thanks for posting this. Always appreciate your hard work. RZA will no doubt be titled one of the best producers throughout eternity. But I think his best work is Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 💪💯
Furio, you did it again. Stay classy, keep Dem sample videos Rollin and Be Hip-Hop. Stay creative. Puffy is good, but you, Wu-Tang and RZA are the best!!!! You're For The Children!!!

Peace To The Gods! However; GZA; RZA; & ODB (AITN) are all from Medina (Brooklyn) Bedstuy, Brownsville, ENY! This is the origin of Wu-Tang! Also Gods I know from the Van Dyke houses were naming themselves; “Wu-Tang” in 1983-84..actual facts..
Every time someone says to me "sampling would be easy and you would only copy", i show them RZA's beats and their samples on 'Whosampeld'. After that they have a completely different understanding of sample based music.
Co-produced it like I showed. Producers listed on the album credits are Kanye West, No I.D., The Rza and then 2 additional producers Jeff Bhasker and Mike Dean.

*Hats off to RZA. But the dopest producer out of Wu-Tang is 4th Disciple, indubitably!!! I say RZA takes 2nd to 4th Disciple, then it’s True Master, Mathematics, & Bronze Nazareth in any order that you want. None of those cats can get with 4th though! 🫢🫡*_
That’s why RZA is one of my top 5 favorite producers
👍
No doubt
Legend but how does he not get copyrighted?
He pays to use his samples or samples things to obscure that it’s impossible to know where they are from.

It’s so much fun finding the most obscure, cheap record and flipping it into something great.
Those types of sounds was used allot
Prince Rakeem aka RZA is a beast!!
What's crazy is that Rza made most of these samples actually sound like the old Chinese flicks soundtracks while using straight up American samples.
He sampled the 70s hong kong Shaw flicks and heroic bloodshed movies like crazy! Along with 9th Prince!
Was in LAX 3 DAYS AGO saw RZA! I was only one who recognized him! I said hello he gave me a pound and said respect and thank you!
That’s awesome.
Bro I would of flipped my wig. Only celebrity I want to meet.
RZA's ability to take something already great and make something just as great satiates my human spirit.
Rza is the greatest producer of all time !!! 💯
And to think this just barely scratches the surface of what RZA has produced. Legendary. Would love to see/hear a part 2.
This actually is Part 2. I did another a while ago ua-cam.com/video/P78X3McWkYY/v-deo.html

RZA is a genius. Straight. Up. Genius.
Just a fucking creative powerhouse.
The Rza was always different but his music was fire 🔥 👍 👍 👍 👍
RZA's use of vocals is peerless. Whether it's a sample or a singer his brand of haunting vocals is beyond dope

It’s a great sample

Same copyright laws applied back then. They had to clear a lot of samples.
Creative genius

RZA 1-A to DJ Premier 1-B on my list.. Nothing but pure Bangers during the 90s. Hardly missed amongst the clan🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
2 amazing producers who have made some classic hip hop between them.
