Sonic Boom was no masterpiece by any means but at least they didn't have a bunch of rappers and pop stars appearing on the album. Sharon has turned that man into a major wuss.

My baby-brother showed-up at my house the day ‘Sonic Boom’ was released & drove us to Walmart where they had a small section devoted to this album & the merch that came with it. I think he picked-up the vinyl that day at a decent price.
I liked the Delilah song, but I haven’t been into kiss since Ace left. My brother remained a super fan all these years. He took me to the reunion-show in Iowa - summer ‘96 & that was awesome. Best rock-show I’ve ever seen.

Ordinary Man pretty much blows all the way through, but I think Under The Graveyard might be the most underrated Ozzy song ever. It's heavy, brooding, and I think it's probably his best cut since Back On Earth.

Probably would have been a good song if someone else provided the Voice for the track . Ozzy Osbourne hasn't sounded good since the 1999 Black Sabbath reunion tour. The auto tuning just ruins any Vocals. I would rather listen to the mistakes
@@godetonter4764 Oh, his vocals are processed to Hell for sure. But, the production makes it work with Under The Graveyard. It's not as bad on a lot of the rest of the album. Also, I'd love to hear Tony Martin take a stab at it.
I havent liked anything since Ozmosis. Bought Ordinary Man, hated it so much I returned it. A while later I kind of got into Under the Graveyard so I decided to give it another chance. And... I've come to like it. Its definitely different than the Zakk albums.

I'm in class laughing watching this, and I love Sonic Boom because it was my first KISS studio album I ever owned (so it's nostalgic for me) but I know nothing off of Ordinary Man so KISS gets all 11 tracks.

1. Modern Day Delilah - KISS goes Led Zepplin Won.
2. Russian Roulette - First time I heard this, I thought it was absolutely terrible too! Actually Ralph, this song is actually a leftover from 70's KISS that wasn't good enough from what I heard from Mr. $immon$ in an interview I think. Sounds like it! Or 80's KISS. I don't freakin' remember.
3. Nothin' But A Good Time - Poison
4. Ordinary Man - I actually kinda like this song. And I like the fact that Elton John sings on it too.
5. Stand - WHEN YOU NEED ME! YA! JUST LOOK OVER YOUR SHOULDER!

9. I'm An Amimal - Actually not a bad song.
10. When Lightning Strikes - Met Eric Singer maybe once or twice. I don't remember. I actually agree Ralph. Eric Singer is not the nicest person in the world, but I've met worse. Tommy Thayer, I never met, but from what I've heard and seen of him, he seems like a nice guy. All I know is that Ace Frehley punched him. 👊 🤣 Don't remember the whole story though.
11. Say Yeah - Actually not a bad song and a crowd pleaser at SCAB KISS Concerts where Pawl Thtanley of KITH gets the crowd to sing YEAH, YEAH, YEAH. So basically Sonic Boom starts and ends with the best songs with turds in the middle. So basically it's a turd sandwich! 🤣 Better name for this album would be SONIC TURD!!! Or SONIC POOP!!!

@@raymondwarmke7094 Music is subjective, and not everyone’s tastes are going to align. I think Sonic Boom is a lot better than previous KISS albums, and the same is true for Ordinary Man and Ozzy’s discography.

For the record, Sonic Boom is infact MY favourite KISS album. I was 13 when it came out, the day of my birthday. I waited for the school bell to ring, bolted for the door and couldn't wait to go to the nearest HMV (which is a Nandos now...) and get it. I rushed home to play it and it became MY Rock & Roll Over.
It was the first new KISS album they released in my lifetime and it was right as I was getting into the band. So I have a deep attachment to the album and my band even plays Modern Day Delilah at our shows.
However! I'm not crazy about Carnival Of Souls, or Animalize. Does that mean I'm not a real KISS fan?
Keep up the awesome content Ralph. You keep us smiling like Diamond Dave circa 2003! :D

Hey my first and one of my favourites is Unmasked , timeline is important when it comes to discovering bands.
I think Sonic Boom is a pretty good album. The only song I dont like is Stand. I agree its not their best, but enjoyable. I met Tommy Thayer once and he's probably one of the nicest people I've ever met in my life.

The last decent kiss album was psycho circus 🎪 🙃. And the original band only played on one song together. That says it all. Imho. There is not even one good song on sonic boom or monster. Sorry to say this. I love kiss . But holy shit. What were they thinking? Love your channel though. Not every episode , but lots of them .keep up the good spirit.

Old is not bad - Rock is Universal, all ages. I love Ozzy so much, but albums as bad as 'Ordinary Man' are undoing the greatness that he has so often done. I'm a big 70s genesis fan, and I have severed 80s Genesis out of necessity. C'mon you young foxes n' seek blood!
