This new season has been pretty decent, Ariana grande episode and last weeks Charli xcx were great. If you haven’t checked out snl in a while I recommend watching all of the “Weekend Update” Joke Swap segments those are all really funny.
I loved it. As a film it was so entertaining, well paced, and the performances were really great. I could care less about modern SNL, and that's the real magic of the film it makes SNL interesting again. Great film.
It’s great to hear that perspective as obvious young people we both had very little knowledge of the beginning episodes. Overall very enjoyable film for sure.
@@AidenandAntoniowatchmovies Yeah, it used to be a great show. I'm not an anti woke person or anything, but SNL definitely got highjacked by writers who felt it should focus more on being socially relevant than comedically relevant. Sadly, they achieved neither.
I think Dan Murrell put it best: People who don't know early days of SNL can't enjoy this film because nothing gets explained. Those who do kow can't enjoy it because the film does not go much deeper than what is already known. What was the point of this movie????
I do kinda understand that, but at the same time I feel like even if you have a little knowledge of SNL and a little knowledge of the specific comedians in the film theirs still a lot to enjoy.
I keep forgetting that SNL still even exists
