This is a friendly warning-- some varieties of pine are actually poisonous. Make sure the pine needles you use for this are from a type of pine that is confirmed to be safe.
Although , some trees are referred to as pines, but they’re not actually in the same family. Leaves from these trees are. So make sure you could confidently identify a tree as a pine tree before eating its needles. W is considered to be the best tasting one, and it’s very easy to be recognized - the only pine tree that has. So if you want to make pine needle soda at home, way is finding a white pine tree.

Definitely going to try that! I'm from central Arkansas and we have a few different pine trees here. I will make sure they are safe beforehand. Sounds really great

Photosynthesis releases O2 not CO2, this is just yeast cells that are naturally occurring on the needles fermenting the sugar water and creating the carbonation.

Assuming you don't know much about conifers, DO NOT go searching for pine needles if you don't know what a pine looks like. The best pine needles for this would be those in clusters of five needles. Any less or more and you could risk picking up needles from a poisonous pine (or other conifer). There are also other conifers that look like pines, like Yew or arborvitae, that are poisonous or even deadly (Yew is for sure deadly). IF you can identify spruce or fir species, you can substitute pine needles for those, but don't search for those if you don't know how to.

Wait, does it actually end up tasting similar to Sprite or do you just call it that because of the bubbles? 🥺 love from South Africa 🇿🇦 ❤
Paired with some fresh lemon slices, this sweet and fizzy pine needle soda tasted citrusy with undertones of mint. It tasted a little bit like Sprite but with a more natural smell and flavor

Such a sweet voice so pleasing
Possible Anime Suspect (I do not enjoy this voice I would rather have a drill sergeant yelling at me especially my commander)
This is exactly the kind of thing i've been looking for! Plus i get to go get extra pine needles for it :3
Assuming you don't know much about conifers, DO NOT go searching for pine needles if you don't know what a pine looks like.
