Great machines hé ? I can't wait to drive at the new serie of New Holland T7 ! Today i'm driving at a New Holland T3040 what a great tractor is that ! The controls edited to the right side and now it have more pedals.
Great Tractorspotter video as usual. I bet the guy that owned the farm where the demo was taking place was happy to have all of that land finished for whatever he might want to use it for. One thing that caught my eye was the baling and wrapping of the silage. It seems that it would be an expensive operation to put it up and store in those fancy bales. Here in East Central Georgia the silage would normally be put in a dug out silo or even stored above ground with big plastic tarps for winter use.
No, not a farmer just an enthusiast trying to learn as much as possible and the Tractorspotter channel and most of it's viewers provide good information.
+jbmbanter it is for use in small or medium dairy farms. like those ones in the Switzerland Alps or in the same mountains in the German and Austrian side of the Alps...
+andre leandro And even to be sold for horses or sheep maybe. i think it can be costly but it have some reason for that. maybe faster and better fermentation process...
It always seems that way to me, too. When we silaged (we don't any more) it went into great big bulk bags about 200 feet (60 m) long. But in our case, the field was at most three miles from where we were bagging it, so transport might be part of the deal here as well. Baling and wrapping also means you don't need a bagging machine (which is probably more expensive than the wrapper shown here) and you don't need specialty silage trucks running back and forth, which is more people, more fuel, and more engines to keep up with. The bags were more convenient for us to load into the feed wagon, and bags or pits (or silos) has always been the way silage was put up in my part of the world. There's not much of a market for it around here, either, so it's not something that ever moves once it's packaged. It seems like an awful lot of plastic, too, and if there's one thing I hate it's having a lot of plastic packaging to dispose of.
That baler must be there for show only. Why ensile corn in bales after the job takes of so well with efficient machines. And in such small ones at that.

I hear a fair bit of transmission notice from the CaseIH
+rick jr its a cvt you fool...its supposed to be "noticey"
That is what they said about gear transmission's, 100 years ago... You better ask your grade 2 teacher how to spell "noisy"
Foul language is the sign of stupidity...
My spelling error was simply my auto correct picking the wrong word.
The noise is from the hydrostatic motor in the cvt. The CVTs are almost always more noticable than the powershift transmissions.
I would think the wrapped maize bales machine is made for the bales to be sold to people who only have a few stock.
