Did you really just reference Radio Shack? 😂 I almost pulled out my Texas Instruments calculator to figure out the odds. I found the larger decals to be easier to read with my reading glasses. Nice build Jim.
a beautiful restoration there Jim keep up the good work have a good one I'm going to take one of those super Vans and make the Scooby-Doo van out of it stay safe from healthy out there and God bless my friend
I think it looks awesome brother and that pock mark just adds character. These vans are cool and I'm sure when you do the other ones they will be just as awesome as this one.
Sweet job. I enjoy the Color Shot paint as well, love the saturation of the color. I also like the skinny cans. Think your restoration is presentation grade, thanks for sharing. BTW I’ve been using the hot shot hubs and had no problem with size, but only had mine for a few months… maybe they tweaked them slightly.
Back from a long road trip and catching up on videos now. Always happy to see a Super Van job. This one looks the business now. BTW, I had a close encounter with a screaming goat in Norway. Who did I think of?! 🍁☕😀
Those darn screaming goats lolol. You’re doing better than me at catching up on videos - I’m so far behind it’s not funny. Some I watch on the tv, but I can’t comment on those unless I go to them again on my computer/phone. Thanks so much for watching Andrew!
Thanks Mark! The Color Shot paints are available from a variety of places, but so far, for me the cheapest prices I've found is through WalMart. I think Michaels is a little higher, and Amazon has had it at much higher prices.

I think it turned out great! I love the deep dish redlines. The d3cal size doesn’t bother me…you lined them up nicely! Another clean restoration! 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks Jimmy! I totally agree - the deep dish redlines are fantastic!
Sweet resto Jim!
Thanks Ron!
Nice build, details and paint job 👌 👍

It's possible that others are better from your point of view, but don't make yourself smaller than you are.
Thanks so much Fritz! At the end of the day, I'm just a little old cobbler, doing my thing lol
Nice work, Jim! We played Gaslands today and I finally passed out your stickers to the boys. They were grateful! Thanks, again. --Bo

Great job Jim 👍🏻
Thanks Mark!
@@JimSilva-SilvaDiecastCustoms you're welcome 😊
I did a poison pinto had a hole in the side of it so I filled it with UV resin sanded and hit it with metallic base coat from BV and painted over it.
Resin comes in handy for so many things.
It looks fantastic 🌴👍👍😎🌴
Thanks David!

Thanks so much! They may have adjusted the bearings because the ones I had were too tight for virtually every axle I tried.
Nice. Very nice.😊
Thanks Martin!
Well done, well commentated, and super talented! Had to SUB up!
Thanks for watching and subscribing!

I have multiple 70's Super Vans and most of them are very fast down my 6 lane, speedway.
It's a great casting!

Nice van, Jim - but the big news is that I found some Gauzy, Gauzy, Gauzy, after about five years. I may well be drunk!

Very nicely done. By the way was Marconi your manager at RadioShack 😂😂
Thanks Gary! 🤣🤣🤣 Jeez, I'm not THAT old, we had some really nice tube radios available when I was there 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love me a great resto! Where do you buy your Color Shot paint? Radio Shack?! I remember buying resisters and diodes when I was in electronics!
Thanks Mark! The Color Shot paints are available from a variety of places, but so far, for me the cheapest prices I've found is through WalMart. I think Michaels is a little higher, and Amazon has had it at much higher prices.
@@JimSilva-SilvaDiecastCustoms Thanks Jim! Good to know! I am not liking the air brush lately and I know your results are showroom condition!
A team van? or maybe dedicated to some other fandom? for the other 2
LOL While I still have a few of these castings around, I have a boatload of other vans, so lots of ideas have come to mind lol
You must have gotten decals from SCR he has decals that are always a hair off!

paint one red use FDny decals a tribute to us FDNY 911 hero’s i might have the decals and i have the van free to you… bob
