  • "I'm Eighteen" is a 1970 song by rock band Alice Cooper, featured on their first major label release album Love It to Death. The single, called just "Eighteen", was released in November 1970, three months prior to the album. Even though Warner Bros. Records "considered it a fluke," it became the band's breakthrough hit, peaking at #21 on the Billboard pop chart in 1971.

Well, this is one of the greatest 3-minute songs of all time (I mean ALL TIME, including anything by the Beatles, Stones - anyone), but the way the band (Buxton, Bruce, Dunaway, Smith) played it under Bob Ezrin's direction will never be matched. EVER.

As good as Johnny Depp is on guitar, I wish he would start up a band. I know he had one back before he made it big as an actor, but I'd listen to his shit. Love that dude.

When I was a senior in high schoo, we had a poster of Alice in the cafeteria. Every day at lunch time they played 'Eighteen'.

Ir's funny how sometimes we can equate something positive and turn it into a negative simply by introducing some one or some thing totally unrelated into the mix. I had a friend when I was a teen, many years ago, I recently tried to look him up online and found his "Mugshot" he had molested his own daughter from a every early age until about 14. All this I found out later, it wasn't publicized. Anyway, he was a HUGE HUGE Alice fan back when we were kids. I wrote him a letter that he is where he needed to be (prison) and fucked his daughters life for the rest of her life. I know. I, too, was a victim. He wrote back, Welcome To My Nightmare as his opening sentence. I never wrote him back. Out of the 5 of us that were very close back then, two committed suicide, one tried and is now way out there anyway and this guy in prison. And me, well, I am now disabled at 51 with severe health issues mental and physically. But when I listen to Alice now, something comes over me and it's hard to stop, so I can't listen for long. Too strange. Oh, one of my friends that killed himself, actually killed his mom first and then himself. It was in the state department building many years ago.Edward Steven Doster. I wonder now if it was the LSD we took at 15. Only God knows and he's not talking..

No-one will surpass the way Buxton, Bruce, Dunaway, Smith and Alice performed this song, on the Ezrin produced recording, or live. Ever.

In my humble opinion, I feel Johnny Depp only gets hype for playing guitar because he's, y'know, Johnny Depp. As a guitarist, even with the solos, not a hard one to learn or play.

Alice Cooper Johnny Depp at the Canada last night I feel sorry for the guitar player that had a heart attack but Alice Cooper still owes us a concert a free one for the people who did not see him at the CNE which turned out to be a riot because the people the gold section I was just a young kid at the time some son of a b**** in the front row Gold section throw the ball at some guy's face that was on the stage
    zong
    played they were good
When the guy came on stage that was it announcing Alice Cooper could not show due to an asthma attack before I knew it everybody started writing and reading and some guy threw a bottle of the guy that was on the stage right directly in his face then the grid came down on the band shell and they ripped it down climbing on stage destroying all the instruments ripping the place apart then the mounties on horses came in and threw the exits and they're hitting everybody I had to run that was in the section I had to run all the way down the other end of the scene II Blue Jays stadium jump over while I got some motorcycle running after me during the exhibition and before I know it I'm running past a watermelon stand and I turned around so the cops still running after me I grabbed a full-sized watermelon a food item and they had a minute directly between his face and his shoulder I apologize to the car it was hilarious cuz he went back 5 feet but when I got to the front of the CD there overturning coat racks there were ripping the stadium with a part unbelievable what these kids were doing and I couldn't get away from it all cause I have a directional look the release coming in every section what a nightmare but he promised that if we had it our tickets in Alice Cooper would refund them no refunds no concert what an ass you call yourself a rockstar that wasn't my fault I was just 18 years old when that happened I was up in the grave everybody don't go over committing the crime this is a boy getting hit you still owe me a concert Alice Cooper yes still owe me a concert and I know you work 4 Q107
Everybody that I heard on the radio trying to describe what happened there doesn't have a freakin clue what happened because you were never there the bed replacement group that Alice put up it was fantastic they could really play but during the day I don't think they ever played again and at that time Alice Cooper came out with a song before that concert called school's out for the summer and if I ever see you Cooper or meet with you I'm going to consult you face-to-face about it and I want a refund for the time of that concert tell now
You still owe me you have my money and I don't care what the kids did you had to pay for that was your own responsibility for not showing that wasn't my fault I didn't take any part of it and I want that concert at that time of that concert way back I thought you were the coolest person I have ever seen but now I think very little of you you're a very low class Rockstar you like to rip people off this is not a joke not an April Fool's joke it's the truth now what are you going to do for your fans because you are guitarist probably stop the concert probably stopped what are going to do for those people nothing as you usually do you're going down in history as one of the worst rock stars ever to come out best thing for you is to go in hiding you still have a lot of people pissed off because what happened at the CNE you can say anything you want but what happens behind closed doors that's your business I could see what you're probably did but I could be wrong sincere TCB
Elvis Arion Presley Mark Dawson That's it man you're a goof for not showing up

Well, it was very showy and underwhelming to me but okay. They look like they all need to go home, take a shower and put on some clean clothes though.
