I remember as a child about 9 years old listening to this beautiful music on an AM radio I particularly loved his trombone chorus the horns sounded like they were smiling.
I've always admired Weston's arrangement of "Long Ago and Far Away", in this collection. The introduction continues to intrigue me after all these years (I first heard his arrangement in the 1950s), especially how the last part of the introduction blends right into the first part of the melody of the tune. This sort of stuff strikes me as "inspired". The ending is nice too, short and sweet.. Needless to say, the song itself is a beautiful and timeless melody by Jerome Kern, presented excellently by Weston. Again, thanks Gustavo, for making Weston's wonderful music available to a wider, contemporary audience via You Tube....
