I made 2 this year, 1 for my house and 1 for my son, daughter in law and grandchildren's, I used some charm squares cut in half for a border and some were like wrapping paper, these went on the bottom, below the tree like gifts, we all love them. Thank you Misty
I love your personality, Misty. You are so cheerful. I think it would be beneficial to have hubby, Jake in the scene reading people’s questions. That way viewers understand he is helping the “live” broadcast. Keep up the good work.
Great tips! My Rowenta used to spit until I came across a video about 8 tips to fix a leaky iron from another quilt channel. Two biggest tips from that were empty your iron after use, and between ironing, turn the dial off steam to dry. No more spitting. I was astonished. BEST tip you have - BUY LOCAL! That’s what I do 😍
Really excited watching a live programme. I have followed Missouri Star Quilting for a few years now. I love what you do. From Irene Wynne , LINLITHGOW , Scotland, UK
This would be a fantastic advent calendar! Add red or green buttons from which you could hang a new mini ornament each day. Voila! (Maybe even add present pockets around the bottom for the ornaments if you want to get super fancy?)
I feel the need to explain that this is LIVE. The point of this is to be able to interact with the viewers. If the guy in the background wasn’t there to relay the information, you would see Misty looking at her computer all the time and not showing you the tutorial. The « annoying guy » is necessary to relay the questions from the viewers. But to MSQC, maybe if he was « in » the video in front of the computer it would add to the fluidity of the broadcast. Thanks for your awesome work, Misty and « annoying guy ».
As usual, LOVE LOVE the tutorial! I now know what to do with this adorable green fabric with white "trees" and that stack of white charm squares!! Thanks Misty and crew!
Hi from Trinidad and Tobago i love your tutorials. I’ve made so many of your items. I used novelty buttons (stars, bells etc) and sew-in beads as decorations. Made a pieced wonky star for the tree topper. Absolutely love this pinwheel tree.
Didn't catch you live today. I really like the pinwheel look. I will have to make one. I also like the idea of the button ornaments (whoever suggested it). You guys are the best. Merry Christmas.
Love the show, and Misty is very good, but the guy in the back ground should stop taking. It's vert distracting. And it takes away Misty explaining the projects. other wise good job.
I've been wanting to make a Christmas tree wall hanging...love this with the pinwheels.. I think I'd make it a bit longer and put wrapped packages under...don't really know how to do that..but that's how I see it...also love the button idea for ornaments...
Help Jenny! I tried to make a tree skirt using your tutorial, and the tree skirt came out amazing except for the inner circle binding... how do we do that?? Nearly broke my machine. It’s UGLY but finished!! No one will see that binding under our tiny fake tree, so it’s all good, but I want to try again. Basically need some help on how to do binding with extreme concave curvature!
Would love to see this pattern using different blocks to create the tree such as: fence rail tree, log cabin tree etc... only because I have a love/hate relationship with hst's and squaring them up!
I got the idea half way though your video thsnk you nice wall hanging probsbly will make bigger blocks and make a throw . The guy behind the camera is distracting at best. I know you want to let people know you arent ignoring thrm but maybe just follow though with tutorial and answer questions after you are finished most of their questions are orobably answered if they stop interrupting you and the canera guy stops photo bombing your tutirial. Wont be subscribing to your channel. Try to learn from jenny and just teach.
Misty I’m finishing this quilt I love it. I would love to make one a bit smaller say 20 by 20 etc... could you please tell me if it is possible to make it smaller and how to do it. You were right I ordered your fabrics they look great! TIA
I know this was in 2018. but I wanted to know if you are selling the sticker of the MSQC logo that's on your sewing machine? I would like to have one! :) Jenny was my first teacher when I started sewing! ❤
Hi LOVE this pattern. I was wondering do you sell a Digital Download Pattern for this ? as Jenny does for the Chevron Christmas Tree. Many thanks. Linda x
I'm rewatching this since Christmas is coming up. I was wondering if we could make a 3-D one like you showed us in the 3-D pinwheel table runner? Perhaps it would look good to alternate the 3-D blocks but would have to make the flat blocks a little bigger.
It would be helpful if you would indicate the finished size so we can use triangles on a square or a cake mix template, so we don’t have to do the lines.
Just for future reference for the lady who asked about the blue marker washing out: the marker generally doesn't wash out once it is ironed. It becomes permanent.

I sewed little bells on my little Christmas trees I made which make ornaments, and hides some of my not so perfect points.
good idea! Im not very straight on eyes or hands so my wall hangings have lots of embellishments!🙊
Tell the man in the back to stop interupting you. You are doing great. You are a good teacher..
good job!

You need to post the measurements of the white rows. You go to fast when doing your instruction.
The camera work did a fantastic job today I love the close-up it sure helps me , thank you sooooo much 😀

Great color on you, Misty!
You need to make up a few of these cute little projects into kits!
Make 24 ornaments and add one for each day for an advent calendar.

Dark blue background and silver for the tree would be so pretty

In this case, we'd take a pinwheel off each row and adjust the borders smaller to get to a smaller size. Hope this helps!
Sew cute! Can you upload a pattern for the star? Thank you! Happy Holidays! Merry Christmas! =)
How did you quilt the Background? Whats the Name of the longarm pattern?
Hey Watching replay from Cobourg, Ontario Canada
Watching the replay at 5PM
Hello from New Hampshire
How much of the background fabric would you need for the inner parts if we wanted them not white (various colors like ornaments or tinsel)?
I know this was in 2018. but I wanted to know if you are selling the sticker of the MSQC logo that's on your sewing machine? I would like to have one! :) Jenny was my first teacher when I started sewing! ❤

I’m from Sydney Australia
Did I hear correctly that the plain white horizontal strips are 3.5” wide? Do you have a pdf of the supplies list?
I wonder how the trunk would look if it was a pinwheel too
I'm rewatching this since Christmas is coming up. I was wondering if we could make a 3-D one like you showed us in the 3-D pinwheel table runner? Perhaps it would look good to alternate the 3-D blocks but would have to make the flat blocks a little bigger.
A 3-D version is certainly possible, Beverley, and would likely look fun and have some extra pop to it. Let us know if you try it!
Morning from Kent Wa
Tolles Video..👍😘
Hello Nancy from Maryland
Suzanne from Ontario, Canada!
i think i'm going to make this, thank you!
I know this is a year old but didn’t see it then. Definitely going to make this one.😊
Whether a year old or yesterday, we're just happy you're quilting, Nancy!
I just added little red buttons for ornaments, right where my points didn't exactly match, LOL. Alot of red buttons.
❤😂
It would be helpful if you would indicate the finished size so we can use triangles on a square or a cake mix template, so we don’t have to do the lines.
Hi from Illinois
What are the name of trimmers please

Gayle from Cooroy Queensland Australia
Did Jenny do a bigger version of this tree in her video series? This looks familiar.
YES! It was “Christmas Tree.” Or chevron Christmas tree, it is also on UA-cam. She uses a pattern number 2455 if you want to purchase it.
Perth Australia
hi from jean Saint John New Brunswick
Could you use some color fabric to give it an "ornament" look?
Do you have a print out of the star for the tree?
Sandy from Henrietta (upstate by Lake Ontario) NY
If you give a quilter an inch, she will think she is a ruler!
lol
Just for future reference for the lady who asked about the blue marker washing out: the marker generally doesn't wash out once it is ironed. It becomes permanent.
Use FRIXION PENS!!! ✍️
They come in multiple colors.
As soon as heat hits them, as in pressing, they vanish! 😎😍
How do you suggest inquilt this pattern?
