Hi the black plug in back ground with the 2 wires is also a 12 volt accessory out let which also is activated when you turn on the key, I run my power socket of it cheers
Good one. To replace the charging port you had or yo create a spare I recently found that Oxford make a plug in USB port that plugs into the connector for their battery conditioner. In other words when you unplug the conditoner and ride off you can plug the USB into the now redundant socket. Is obviously permanently live but easy to unplug when you stop. Works well and can transfer to another bike easy. Useful video thank you. Happy travels
I bought the same voltmeter and another one with a small switch on/off but I don't think it consumes that much to drain the battery if remains always on, is it a small led, the consumption would be negligible.
Thanks Pavlin. on some models you can connect it to the AUX power supply. Honda have it, maybe newer model of other brands have it also. in that way you can switch it on and off at same time as the bike. I'm not sure if you can connect it on the diagnose plug of the bike as it has his own 12V supply.
Thank for the video, there is no need of a fuse between the battery and the voltmeter? I wanna install a Koso Mini 3 and It's not clear of i have to put a fuse between the instrument and the battery and no idea of the fuse ampere. Grazie
Thanks... Have you tried the cigarette lighter voltmeter/USB combo? Just wondering if you or anyone has.... I installed a lighter holder to charge devices already. Just wondering if they are reliable. Great video and info as always...
The whole purpose with a voltmetre is/was to connect it to your dynamo. That way you can monitor the volt given to the battery/ engine and when your dynamo needed new magnetic's. Same thing with a electronic egition....
How is your heated grips connected? Straight to the battery? I had a connection like that and I always forgot to turn them off. Now I took the time and connected it through a relay, and a fuse so it stays on only when ignotion is on, and I connected my voltmeter, heated grips and charger on the same circuit. Maybe it's not a problem for many, but I just forget to turn them off.
Thanks brother from India and what about ammeter to measure charging current of the battery. In India the ammeter is given to the royal Enfield bullet.
I had a bike was 13.8v another was 15.1v I swapped the regulator rectifier over and then had 15,1v on the other bike. The headlight was noticeable how much brighter it was,

Good to know, thanks!
I just vanna say thnks for this !
Anytime!
Thanks for showing this how-to, Pavlin.
Günter from Nürnberg
My pleasure!
You should connect it direct to the battery and a mini switch for on\off. This is how i have done it.
Yes, but if you forget it it will drain the battery.

Hi I been wondering should i adding the fuse connector to the red wire of voltmeter? Appreciated!
Good Knowledge Bro.. Thanks for your education.. God bless you.
It's my pleasure!
Very useful, Pavlin.
Glad it was helpful!

Very good.. I like that additional information you now have. 👍
Glad you liked it!
👍👍👍👍 thanks for the useful advices man
Be safe brother,
Anytime!

No need a fuse.

I don't want to plug anything. After a while, the lighter get rusty and it will stop working.
Very nice 😊
Thanks 😊!
Excellent! Thanks!

True

I have Oxford gtips. They have inteligent system and are connected direct to the battery.

Volt meter measure the current charging system when the engine runs and the battery voltage if the engine is off.
Now I have bike like your's😊
Good!
grazie mille, signore
Any time!
I got one with 2 USB 3.0 on it. I just grabbed a 12 volt connector that went to gages that I deleted due to failure.
Whatever works for you, man!
How much should it be ? Is it 14.4 v for all bikes ?
I had a bike was 13.8v another was 15.1v I swapped the regulator rectifier over and then had 15,1v on the other bike. The headlight was noticeable how much brighter it was,
Does it have a off and switch?
No!
I have a din usb with volt meter on my tiger 900 is it as accurate
Good.
Dear Pavel where did you get 95% statistics ?
From what I saw on the road.
Surprises me that more bikes dont have this, my GS 650 has no warning light for battery, guess what my next job is.
This is the reality.
isn't more useful to install a usb plug with integrated voltmeter?
I don't want to plug anything. After a while, the lighter get rusty and it will stop working.
My battery ran flat and it cost $250 to be towed home. I have AAA now and buying a voltmeter.
Good decision!
🤸🏽♂️
Thanks for taking the time!
is this a question? I have all the answers.
Good!
Very bad presentation. Where do you take the cable for the dashboard?
Why didn't you show that
Fair enough!
